LIVERPOOL VS ARSENAL - Build up.......................

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I fancy us to maybe pick up a 1 - 0 victory, possibly 2. Arsenal are by no means going to be a roll over, but there's never been a better time to play them in my opinion. They are inconsistant and losing often away from home, their back line is young, enexperienced and susceptible to silly mistake's, there's a lot of bad descision making going on with Arsenal defending unit, the 'keeper is a clown.

News from Arsenal

Arsenal fear Jose Antonio Reyes may have broken his leg in the 1-1 draw with Bolton on Saturday.

The Spaniard was forced off in the first half of the game at Highbury after a two-footed tackle from Abdoulaye Faye.

The tackle infuriated Gunners boss Arsene Wenger and he is waiting to find out the full extent of the problem.

"He's had an X-ray and we don't know if the leg is broken yet," said Wenger.

"We will need further checks. It was very bad and his injury was terrible to take."

i think we'll turn them over Tuesday....Arsenal are a spent force now.  Apart from Henry and Cole, they're very average.

Yeah, i mean van Persie's rubbish, Gilberto-Silva, Pires, Ljungberg, Campbell... all just lost it overnight...

have you seen Campbell play?

Erm... Yes, about 100 times why?

Ciggy wrote:Im very curious as to what tactics Rafa will employ for this one, Arsenal have struggled away from home this season and ecspecially against Bolton who seem to have the upper hand on them, due to there rough house tactics.

Everton beat them also due to roughing them up a bit, and this season we can hold our own in that department even though I like to watch football and not ale house teams who get one goal and kick ten bags of sh.ite out of everything.

If we allow Arsenal to play their passing game I have a feeling they will beat us, and we play our best football in flowing attacking football, so what do we do?

Reyes is out after that horrendous tackle from Faye yesterday I think he's broke his leg/foot?
They have a lot of young new players who lack experience but have a lot of pace, we will need to keep Henry and Van Persie quiet, but Arsenals defence are poor with high crosses into the box.

Should be a good game with both sides playing football and a bit of a relief for Arsenal I suppose that they are coming to Anfield and wont get kicked off the park.

Or will Rafa decide to play it that way? We can beat them if we dont give them time on the ball and our midfield is supperior to theirs.
We desprately need these points from this game as its our game in hand but so do Arsenal.

Arsneal have a terrible away record they seem a bit like us last season watching them now, If Ashley Cole and Sol Cambell are still out injured we have a very good chance of taking three points off them.

The best way for us to use our advantage against Arsenal is to play the attractive football and outpass them in midfield. Our midfield is stronger, more capable of retaining the ball and controlling the game. We have to be better in taking our chances though because Arsenal will make something otherwise and we will lose.

This is a must win game if we are to keep alive the fight with the scum for second place!!

With Arsenals recent form and the fact that most of their players seem a shodow of their former selves since Viera left we should beat them!!

But all the big clubs have shown that they always raise their game against us and i dont expect Arsenal to be any different!!
This is a massive massive game and i cant wait till Tuesday night.
We need a good performance from all our players and im sure we will get just that as i'm sure they realise that this game can shape the rest of our season in the league!!
Bring them on,been looking forward to this game for ages!!
