Yeah.... I saw that too..... Looked like he was complaining about the winner's medal or something...... What a git!

Savor the moment, Djibril, the medal's appearance is not the important thing. It's the fact that you won the GREATEST domestic cup trophy in the world as part of the LIVERPOOL team son....

He really needs to grow up and concentrate on his football and stop screwing around with his hair and freaking boots......

Bloody idiot...

Looks like... doesn't mean he was. Unless we were actually inside his head, its unfair to Cisse to speculate. Maybe his leg was still hurting and was grimacing at an unfortunate time.

Doubt it.... as he was showing it to a team mate and pointing at the thing....

But point taken..... benefit of A VERY BIG doubt given.....

and fair play, his goal was a good 'un.

I've supported Liverpool all my life, but I think I need to find a new team to support..my heart just cant take anymore, last years European Cup final and now this FA cup final, It cant be good for the health running and shouting around my front room like a mad man  :p

I think Gerrard is inches away from being the greatest player EVER to put on a Liverpool shirt, and it's a hard list to beat. The guy is pure class, THE best player in the English game bar none.

West Ham were fantastic too, they should hold their heads up high, what a team and what a performance by them :bowdown

Thought the BBC pre mach coverage seemed to be nearly all West Ham, but we should be used to that by now with the southern media.

SO thats the best Eurpean cup final  of all time and the best FA cup final of all time..where next.

Rafa, thank you.

i think that if we were 2 years ago we would be probably champions of England but they(chelsea) have the money but we have the iron will, the heart and we play football just for football! Cheers to all our players i think it was a magnificient season! we have a quality of players like Gerrard, Carragher , Alonso , Dudek(remember vs. Milan) , Reina , Hypia , and many others that they souldn't leave ! and wehave also a fantastic manager and i think that we will have a lot of good surprises! I have a dream in my life Visiting Anfield road because when i watch my LFC in tv some times i cry some times i play the manager some times i weep for joy some times i was terribly sad to water ,some times i have the goose pimples when i lissen to you... all this in front of my tv i can't imagine what it will be if i was in anfield road ! i hope that it won't be just a dreame!

We made it difficult for ourselves because mostly we were a bit below par except for Gerrard and Reina had a howler of a game in patches by gifting them 2 goals. I read that Gerrard said the ground was hard, and that may have been a factor. They attacked us twice and scored twice. Then, they had a flukey goal from a cross which embarassed Reina.

West Ham scored 3 very unlikely goals which we would normally not have conceded but we scored 3 awesome goals. I think Crouch's goal was wrongly disallowed as he was on-side. West Ham's Reo-Cocker, Gabbidon (is this his name?) the central defender and Ashton played very well.

It was again down to Gerrard to rescue us and Sven should take note on how to get the max from him for England.

It was a good game due to the way it panned out but believe me, it was not good for me watching the game as I was screaming time and again when ever West Ham came close. I need a more clinical Liverpool performance to calm my nerves...

oh my god what a day. i think it's fair to say that we don't win finals easily do we? but at the end of the day 3-3 and winning on penalties. kewell going off injured and an amazing last minute save by our keeper in extra time....where have i heard that before?

anyway i first want to pay tribute to west ham. i thought they were absolutely magnificent. their players and fans were a credit to themselves and a credit to their club as a whole. we were chatting to a few before the game and they were genuinely great people. on the pitch i thought their players were outstanding. infact i thought they were the better team if i'm honest. benayoun, reo-coker and gabbidon were outstanding.

but on to us. you could almost say it was fate that we were going to win it. i don't think we played well at all, especially in the first half when alonso, riise and gerrard seemed to be more interested in passing to west ham players than a red shirt. cisse, the goal aside was poor. reina had a mare but redeemed himself with that amazing late save and the penalties. in the second half i thought we had grasped control of the game until konchesky scored with that freak goal. after that we never even looked like scoring.

until you know who turned up. i don't need to say any more about the guy. on his way to becoming the best player this club has ever had imo.

You know.... It's been discussed aound the forum a few times about the oft heard statement that we are a one man team.... and how we hate to hear it.... but yesterday in cardiff, the one man proved again how vital he is to us.....

As they say.... cometh the hour, cometh the man......

We've taken giant steps this season to becoming a better TEAM.... but it's fantastic to know that on our off days, we call always call on the skipper to pull our ars*e out of the fire.... he's done it time and time again.... I hope that next year, we'll be able to take some of that weight off his shoulders and get him back in the middle of the park where he belongs.... none better in the world there..... with this burden off, just imagine the havoc he would cause to ANY opposition...... Right winger needed!! ASAP imo.... :D

I had a baptism yesterday, and couldn't watch the match live. I started to download ir yesterday night, and I've been avoiding TV, radio, and international sections of sport web sites.

But I made a mistake, I read the sentences of Mark Gonzalez, who said, that I could not say goodbye with a win, but at least my team Liverpool, has won the cup. *sigh*, I also received  a message congratulating me, so the match is spoiled.

I'll watch the game today and make footie comments tomorrow. Looks like Reina has arisen his penalty stopping legend in Spain...

See you, mates, and congratulations!!!!!!!!! Go reds!!!!!!!!!

This is my second posting on this thread so i hope no one mids like,i have got to make mention of the amazing west ham lot who to a man contributed to the best cup final in many many years.
Sadly i wasnt there but i watched the game on tv at my local non league club and the crowd was a mix of chelsea and a couple of west ham suporters,it was all good natured with some witty banter bouncing around the bar. When it went to penalties the sole west ham supporter beckoned me over to sit it out with him, full credit to the lad as when pepe made the match winning save mr w.h shook me warmly by the hand and i bought him a consolation pint.
This i feel is how things should be on such occasions and while us winning was the main thing the memories of how i saw us come back from the brink of defeat will remain with me for a very long time indeed !!!!!!!!.

A class and legendery day  :)  :)

Was out of town all weekend over here and could only manage to catch the highlights...

But what highlights!!!!  Gerrard's second was as fine a goal as I have ever seen and to think that he produced that in injury time of a cup final after being hobbled by cramps is truly astonishing.  What a fecking legend he is!

Credit to Reina for turning his afternoon around and digging deep to find the mental resolve to carry him through.  The extra time save and the shoot-out stops were simply immense.

I loved watching Didi's penalty as well.  I've felt bad for Hamann all season--a truly class player who's been largely surplus to requirements thanks to Sissoko's precosciousness--and some I'm thrilled that he got a chance to help turn a second cup final around.  He didn't have a broken foot this time (I don't think!) but he buried that penalty with assuredness.  Who else would you want stepping up to take your first penalty kick in a tense shoot-out?  If that was Didi's last moment in a red shirt, it was something special!

God, isn't it fantastic to be a Liverpool fan these days?  I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL AUGUST!!!!
