Rafa had better hope he gets his contract extension in a few days because if he doesn't he may not be around beyond May if we play like that for the rest of the season.

Positives from this game? Not a single one!

One game less to recover Torres and a clean sheet.

It gives us a lead of a point.

Sorry, I'm a happy clapper.  :D

But to be honest with you, it was a very dissapointing game as a whole.

I'd cut my :censored: off for Fibiano.  He's ten times the player Keane is.  What a :censored: waste of money.

Ratings:

Reina - 7 Brilliant when called upon

Arbeloa - 6 Did his job
Carra - 5 In these games we need creativity from the back as well.
Hyypia - 6 Dangerous on set pieces
Dossena - 6 Some nice crosses. Decent

Benayoun - 6 Some nice touches but no end product
Alonso 7/8 - Stand out player. Controlled the game.
Gerrard - 6 Can't work with Keane and Kyut. They destroy him
Riera - 5 Getting more and more boring

Keane  - 0 Worst player I've seen on Anfield. He failed in Inter in his prime. What a gamble destroying the teame with a ridiculous £ 20 million purchase on an old boring slow striker with nothing to show for. Amazing. 15 games 1 goal? Even worse than Meijer and Riedle. Bring back Bellamy or Crouch. Heck bring back Momo Sissoko and play him as a striker. I bet he will offer more threath.
Kuyt - 1 So slow, so little flair, embarrasing. even more embarrasing; he's getting 90 minutes because we don't have nothing of quality on the bench.
If football is banned in heaven. I'd rather go to hell.

But Lucas is not to attacking, is to mark, here in Gremio he was a MD (like CM, i dont know how to say the positions). We need somebody to work with gerrard in prodution and a ManGoal like Luis Fabiano

There are times when I wondered if we do actually practice getting forward in training because we looked clueless tonight. Still we didnt lose so it could be worse however it could also be so much better.

Sad to say Spot on  :(

I put this loss on Rafa, the people that needed subs to me were obvious and he got 1 out of the 2 right.  Kuyt was :censored: horrendous today he stalled and messed up so many attacks he went back to his old self again of just working hard and having his touch fail him time after time or back passing after being passed to during an attack.

Yes Keane was terrible but he has more offensive quality then Kuyt no matter how you look at it he just isn't quite as lucky as Kuyt.  Why would you take off Keane to put in basically the same type of player, why not change the slow defensive striker for a more offensive one instead?  Riera and Kuyt were so bad this game Kuyt was put in good position time and time again but just kept :censored: it up.

It's not all Rafas fault. At the end of the day if the players dont play then the manager cant do anything.

Reading a few posts and after watching the game on Setanta, i've come to a few conclusions.

1. Babel is not as bad as some people say.
2. Benayoun is quite frankly :censored:!
3. We have no decent back up for Torres, who BTW is always going to get these injuries because once it's weak it will never fully repair.
4. Mascherano allows SG to impact the game higher up the pitch, where on tonight's showing he is desperately needed.
5. We're top of the league!
6. We kept a clean sheet.
7. It could be worse.
"I certainly wouldn't say I'm the best manager in the business, but I'm in the top one."

Also Babel came on WAY too late, who cares if he's being a baby the guy can change games off the bench he should have came in much earlier.  Both subs were practically wasted for one reason or another.
