Liverpool v Spurs (H) Prem 7/10/07 - Pre-match and build up discussion

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

The mancs have Wigan, can't see them winning at old toilet so we could end up losing our game in hand advantage if we don't win. And Arsenal have Sunderland which has to be three points in the bag, then Bolton at home before they visit us so we could be f'knose how many points behind them when they visit

While Marseille was a bad result for us, spudz didn't exactly impress against CYPRIOTS. They escaped with a draw in a much diluted competition. If we can't equal or better that result then I think we may as well look forward to a possible cup final and not much more

Come on rafa get us back to winning ways in style with a total attacking line up.

Why not put Babbel (Even Smeg would like to see this) in a striker role with torres or try a 4-3-3 with Torres Babbel and Kuyt and go for it,especially with spurs dodgy defence.

COME ON REDS PUT A SMILE BACK ON OUR FACES AND MAKE US BELIEVE AGAIN!!! :D

                   Reina
  Finnan     Carra    Hyypia     Arbeloa
      Gerrard   Mascherano  Momo
Kuyt              Torres           Babel
Subs: Itandje, Riise, Voronin, Pennant, Lucas

No Aurelio, so if you have him your fantasy Rafa team change it !

Possible banana skin for us this game, we surely cant play as bad as we did on Wednesday and Spurs surely cant carry on being :censored: all season, sooner or later they will click hopefully not on Sunday though. I am not even going to try and guess the team but I am going for  2-1 for us.

I dont't think Momo would get in the Everton team at the moment the way he's playing, I'd rather see Lucas in there (although I'm not saying we should).  His performance against Marseille was one of the worst ive seen from a Liverpool player.  If we want to win this tricky game then i think we HAVE to play our best 11 (below) although Rafa may drop either Pennant or Benayoun for Riise.  Come on you reds!

                   Reina

Finnan      JC        Hyypia     Arbeloa

Pennant  Gerrard Macherano Benayoun

Obviously, being a new poster I cannot start a new thread, so apologies for posting this on here.
Is there a decent (cheap and cheerful) cafe that will welcome away fans (me and my teenage boys)?  We'll be coming in from the M62, and expect to park somewhere before Stanley Park.  Also, is there anywhere round there to park (or not park)?
After many, many years, I'll achieve an ambition to get to a game at Anfield.  I've visted all the other major grounds in the North, but its taken me until now to get to Anfield, so I'm really looking forward to the experience.  However, the way the two teams have started this season, I'm not expecting a great deal - I fear it'll be a case of damage limitation!!  I'd wish you good luck, but somehow I don't think you'll need it :)
Thanks in anticipation.

I'm not going to get to see this one LIVE unfortunately, but I'm absolutely convinced that I've got the team right barring any recoveries from injury. If I know Rafa he knows the importance of this one and he'll pick what he considers to be his very striongest team, the one I posted up at the start of the week on page one of this thread.
