The question is how more of these performances will the owners tolerate.

Spurs showed great determination for long periods of the game.

We were poor generally, despite Torres getting the equaliser in stoppage time. Surrendered the initiative way too easily. What a week this has been...:(

Meh, could always be worse. Could be we're playing this bad and our new 20 million pound striker hasn't scored for us yet. Rafa would be certainly called to be sacked I'm sure.

Why don't we try playing with that intensity more often in a game? The pressure we were pilling on in the last fifteen was huge. I think rafa spends too much time on trying to play win ball and counter attack football.

paper over the cracks.  not looking forward to the arsenal game at all.  they could run rings around us.  how many weeks does the poor performances have to continue before serious questions are asked.

Why was so much money spent on babel?  he doesnt even play often.

Being serious meself, how can that be so ?

We are playing poorly, but we have managed to get away lightly.

Yes we would want to win the games, but we have not been beaten.

Benitez had:

11 points in 2006-07
10 points in 2005-06

after 8 games the last three seasons, this season he has 16.

EVERYONE was demanding a better start, we have had it. Not as good as we would like, but better.

If you take the improvement over the rest of the season its going to be 23.75 points better than last season and 28.5 points better off than 2005-06.

I reckon all is not well at anfield, we shud be beating spurs at home, I dont know if rafa even knows his best eleven at this stage, we are so inconsistant in front of goal its frightening, torres got us out of jail but we are falling away already after what 8 or 9 games??
cmon rafa no nore rotation lunacy please.....

It's not so much the better start, but the fact that we have had a slightly better start but are looking so poor. It's the fear the we will only stagnate or degenerate and get worse. It's a long season, and if we keep turning performances out like this, 5th place won't be a far cry of what to expect.

And your reason for thinking this is what ?

Maybe we are simply out of form.

As another member of this forum who everyone likes always goes on about:

"Form is temporary, class is permenant"

We will come out of this dip.
