to be honest i will like to think that its sammy lee who decided to keep keane on. rafa is more a big picture man, and would prefer to rest keane earlier, but ignoring the knock on his confidence once he is taken off. unlike rafa, sammy lee is more a players-coach, and he will keep keane on to keep his confidence up.

Thats absolute bull mate!
If Keane was brought off after hitting 2 he would'nt take it as a knockback..more a we are keeping you fresh for Newcastle

Anyway excellent from him today,he deserves it!More importantly a great team effort!
Made up here!!

hopefully today's performance will put to bed the rumours of Keane leaving. He doesn't want to leave, Rafa doesn't want to sell and he's not going anywhere

I assume he's as delighted as we all are but he never shows it.  :suspect:

He's saving it for the end of the season, then he will be ear to ear!

Just like he did when we won the CL.

Saving his smiles for the special occasions :D

Gerrard was also immense today. Some quality passes and crosses (and his corners are shyte normally lol) and a good assist.

Good Performance...

Alonso is back to his best. He controlled the whole midfield.

And Insua...what a performance. There is no way dossena can come back into the picture now...

And Keane  :buttrock

Yeh he was, played deep in the first half, but he did really well and his passing was good. Second half he was excellent and did a delightful through ball for keane to score the first!

We seemed very balanced today. I hope Rafa doesnt start tinkering to try and get Dossena back in the squad or even Aurelio ehen fit for that matter.

Unfortunately, its rafa, and I think he will go back to 4-5-1 against newcastle.

But what Im hoping is he sticks with the same 4-4-2 and players (if torres is fit, he should start ahead of kuyt).
