Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Leonmc0708 » Thu Apr 08, 2004 8:50 pm

Wooly back, three things

FIRST my mistake it was woof woof, and I was wrong there so my sincerest apologies.

SECOND dont give me that cr#p, I know for a fact that areas other than Liverpool are assigned tickets, not available to scousers. The source, my brothers missus works in the ticket office at Anfield.

THIRD I did not say any one has any more right to support the club if they are a scouser. My point was SUPPORTERS go the match and can comment on players and games with more authority than FANS who "watch the game every week on the RADIO ! ! !"

NOW THEN

Ye you little s**t I dont live in Liverpool and so I have to watch it on the telly.

I had to get a digital satellite reciever for 250pounds and a 1.4m dish for 120pounds + all the extra cards and motor ,etc.
All of this I think costs morethan a season ticket but I make the effort so I can watch the games.

If that's true then it stinks. Tickets should be first come first served wherever you're from. But the bottom line is it's f##kin difficult to get a ticket full stop. The season ticket waiting list is about 9 years, you need the patience of a saint to get through on the booking line.

In the meantime tell me what number I can order my personalised Wools-only tickets on and I'm f##kin ringing it!

Ye you little s**t I dont live in Liverpool and so I have to watch it on the telly.

My mate travels from Dublin for each and every home game, ever heard of Ryanair?

I had to get a digital satellite reciever for 250pounds and a 1.4m dish for 120pounds + all the extra cards and motor ,etc.
All of this I think costs morethan a season ticket but I make the effort so I can watch the games.

The guy who sold you satellite must have seen you coming. Its free if you connect for twelve months you ignoramus.
My Season Ticket cost me £485 last year, do the sums you numpty.

Where do you live Leon? Hint - don't be too specific, you might get a visit and a shoe-ing off some people on the forum

Anyway, what's a lad of your age doing on the internet on a night like this? Shouldn't you be out on the tiles somewhere?

I've got an excuse, I'm a family man. Here's a question for you: I've lived in North Wales, Manchester, Liverpool (Wavertree & Mossley Hill), and now Bury. Who should I support?

Wooly my argument is not with you.

I retracted my comment once I realised it was not your post earlier on.

If anyone wants my address, its freely available.

I have a problem with people who critisise the team I love and cant even be bothered to attend a game to see first hand or go the match to show their support and loyalty to the cause.

Wooly your OK, again my argument is not with you.

Leon dude, I'm sure everybody on the forum is envious of your position as a season ticket holder who can get to Anfield easily.

I can see your point about people expressing opinions based on 10 minutes highlights every Saturday night, after all I agree a much better impression of the game as a whole can be had by actually being there especially the finer points like movement off the ball, positioning etc etc.

But if you sit back and think (calmly) about it, people have other commitments - work, family, money etc etc which in the real world sometimes do have to get in the way of the footy, especially if going to the match means spending half the day travelling. My point is don't look down your nose at these people, their opinions are perfectly valid even if they're not based on watching the full 90mins every week. One thing we all have in common here is a love of the club and our opinions are just that - opinions. Disagree with as many opinions as you like, just don't belittle and insult people just because they see things from a different perspective to your own.

To make ammends I think you should drag my song about Cheesy out and post it at the top....   That's something we can all agree on!!!  :;):  :;):

Firsly I dont know what satellite ur on about mate cos the one I have is definetly not free (if its free everybody would have and there wouldnt be need for this topic to be here at all). Whats free for a year ?

I'd love it if I had the time to fly to Liverpool for every game but like Wollyback said we have commitments.

I'm not an ignoramus or a loser just cos you dont know what Im talking about.

And I dont criticise the team (unless the underperform and I feel I should say my views) and if I critisise I dont base it on 10 minutes of highlights I watch the matches (the full 90 min).

:)

If the lads living abroad want to watch the games live then they should log on to www.soccerstreams.com. They will tell you of any sites carrying the game. Most of them are in the far east and the commentary is in chinese or something but you can watch the games live on your PC

With 10 minutes to go, we are four-two down.

If we are seriously considering Champion's League football next season, big changes are needed.

We are simply not good enough as things stand with the current squad.
