Torres is definitely out injured today?

Does anyone actually know if he is playing or not?  And a source anyone?

EDIT:  Sorry, just checked Liverpool Echo, feeling much better (well, at least as good as the butterflies in the stomach will allow...)  and unfortunately, as its not on the telly till lunchtime tomorrow in my part of the world, I've a long, internet-free wait ahead of me...

Fernando Torres is set to return for Liverpool and Xabi Alonso could start, but Alvaro Arbeloa (thigh) is doubtful.

Striker Torres is fit again following a thigh injury, while midfielder Alonso was in the squad to face Besiktas after a foot problem but did not come on.

Arsenal will be without Philippe Senderos and Robin van Persie.

Senderos has a back injury and Van Persie will be out for at least a month with a knee problem. Manuel Almunia is expected to keep his place in goal.

well at least without van pus$y their attacking force will be reduced but there are still a strong team with adebayor and theo whose pace i shudder to think will do what to hypia , i hope hypia's  experience helps him today and i hope carra manages to keep adebayor quiet ..

If momo plays i think he will be told to shut down cesc fabregas , whom has a superb vision and momo will be told to stop the passes which he is more then capable of ..

Gerrard on the right will give us the surgign runs but not the trickery that pennant/babel/kewell or wingers in short offer ..

Alonso , if he plays what can i say , we have sorely missed his range of passing and his ability to hold the defence together , he is both a passer and a defensive mid , what a good bargain he was.

Agger although i would be sad to see hypia dropped to the bench after being our most loyal player , its for the better , agger has the physical presence and pace to stop the arsenal strikers

Torres was sorely missed in the cl game whr i am sure if he ahd played , we would have taken some of chances , he will be a huge factor for us if he plays tonight , the pace and body strength he has will cause the arsenal defence problems

I'd go with a 2-1 win , thats what my heart is telling me but in truth i see it being a draw. This is the kind of game whr the players need to step and show that they wanted the pl title bad enough and they must win this game to reduce the gap on arsenal plus we still have the game in hand . This month of october will not be easy for us as after this i think w ehave blackburn , whom are in solid form as of late , but lets take 1 game at a time , starting with this .. Come on you RED MAN ..

YOU WILL NEVER WALK ALONE

arsneal have been playing most of their games this season so far at home , and as we know home advantage counts , but this next few games or so will really be a test for them , they will be playing us away from home , the manure and other teams , if they are to push for the title, this test will show it , but i doubt they have the strength in debt to last 38 games just in the league at the top , they be dropping down soon and i hope it starts today. We have the strength in debt to cut the deficit down to 3 points and we still have a game in hand .

That brings back memories. Its a bit sad in a way watching that video as we dont play that kind of football on a regular basis any more.  :(

But im sure we can get a posative result today. We cannot go behind though. Although we done them 4-1 last time that other one in which we let in 6 is still pretty fresh in my head.

Im not going to predict a score as our form has been too erratic this season. Arsenal are a very capable team and if we arnt careful we will get :censored:.ed today.

Come on lads lets turn this season around!
