Agger should play instead of the hapless Hypia...Be it with a plaster, mask, ice.etc. A half fit Agger cant play worse than Hypia at the moment!!!!

Iam dreading this game cause come on at the moment our confidence is shocking. Arsenal are playing some breath taking football, playing with confidence in abundance, and we are just playing shiteee to say the least.

How Rafa can say we are playing ok is beyond belief !! The players need a wake up call and by now after the marselles game i thought they would ave had it, but no! no such improvement, no passion and no player taking the game by the scruff.. Our season is crumbling before our eyes, and Sunday at the moment i just can't see no different.

We need Aggar back fast, Alonso back fast, Torres back fast!!

Rafa fecked up by not bringing in a quality back up centre back in the summer, For Hyypia its been one season to many at the moment. As for Crouch he needs a run in the team he plays on confidence and can score goals if given a run of games. But Rafa has broken his confidence beyond repair i think. We have one forward who can score goals, two forwards who try to score goals, but don't!! and one in crouch who can score goals but the manager is to stubborn to give him a run and prefers just to destroy every bit of confidence in him. Not looking good!!

One thing is for certain we can't get any worse !!!!!!!!!

a lot of activity (sales and purchases) needed in January if we are to do anything this season, as it will be Rafa's 4th we will have to then wonder if he is the right man.

I'd take our back 5 over theirs all day long. But they have marauding full backs, that do get back when needed, and players that will drop in and cover for them when they go forward. We don't.

Alonso, Mascherano, Benayoun, Gerrard, Babel.

as opposed to Arsenal's:

Eboue, Flamini, Fabregas, Hleb, Walcott

Then upfront - Torres V Adebayor

What does it tell you then ??

Arsenal manager has them playing with confidence, passion, for each other, playing it simple,

Rafa has us playing ????

May be we should swap managers...

Let Rafa destroy the team Wenger has built, and let Wenger put the Style and attracting football back in our team..

A few things.

That tells me that there is something missing that may be more pschological than just personell related.

Also you show no respect to Rafa here. What have both teams won in the last three seasons ?

Leagues 0-0
Fa Cups 1-1
Champions LEague Finals 1-1
Cmapions League Winners 1-0 (to Rafa)

Doesnt matter what the footy looks like, its the trophies that matter.

To be honest If were just talking back four, I would take Arsenals without a doubt - Pace, power, strength and athletism in abundance aswell as tactical ability and ability on the ball. Midfield is a tough one as they have hled and fabregas who absoluely make their midfield however we have stars there of our own. Upfront they probably have more quality than us with van persie, adebayor, eduardo and walcott than we do with Torres, crouch, voronin and kuyt. Our only winner clear winner is in the keeping department.

The comparisons trophy for trophy over the last three seasons are fair enough. It's probably worth pointing out though that Arsenal have had to replace a whole "super team" during that period and have been in the process of bringing some youngsters through.

I also don't know how the comparison would look if you went on money spent and recouped over the period, but my suspicion is that with the money we shelled out this Summer we've probably dug a bit deeper though I may be wrong. Anyway the season is early so we'll see.

Wenger has spent very little when you consider Anelka was sold for 22m, Overmars 25m, Viera 13m,Henry 16m, prob made small loss on Reyes - no other big buys spring to mind?

Wenger won the double in his first full season  in 1998 and after 5 full seasons had won 2 leagues (2002) and after 7 full seasons had won 3 leagues).

We won't win the league this year (highly unlikely anyway) so unless you expect Rafa to win the league the next 3 seasons then Wenger has proved much better.

Nobody can deny Arsenal are a joy to watch too. Manu are also good to watch and have players (well giggs) with 9 league medals.

Playing good football can win trophies!

In fairness mate I seem to remember somebody posting up stats which showed that over his entire reign, Wenger has spent more than you'd think. There have been his share of Francis Jeffers' and Silvain Wiltord's mixed in with the shrewd buys.

I just thought it might be fairer to talk (like it makes a sh!te of difference to anyone anyhow   :D ) about the last three or four years as the comparison with Rafa is fairer I think. I also think they were in a similar situation as both have had to build a squad from scratch.

FWIW though I don't have a problem with hardly any of Rafa's buys. Kuyt was hardly a waste of money, he just isn't working out right now, while Morientes's signignwas applauded by everyone including me. I think our manager has built a good squad of players with relatively little outlay.

Why dont you support Arsenal then ?

Also, Wenger joined Arsenal at the start of season 1998-97 and won fu.ck all that season. The next season 1997-98 he won the double.

Why make up statistics ?

I don't understand your logic that if I think another manager has done a better job then I should support that team  ???

The fact is that we all want LFC to win league titles regularly and most would like us to play good football doing it. We just disagree on whether Rafa can do it - I don't think he can. I hope I'm wrong.

the besiktas game means nothing. its all about sunday. and we can win it. they have no van persie and contrary to what people say they can be bullied in midfield. we need to go in and go ins trong. we also need to mess up there game by playing ours.

yesterday was abad result but frick it, its not important, its the league i want. we need stability and strentgh and spirit. hopefully with a astrong backbone we can stop the goons in there tracks and go ahead ourselves.

its in midfield we are gonna win or lose this so we need our STRONGEST 4 across the whole midfield. we cant play 4-5-1. we are at home and we need to dictate the play, not try to work out how to stop them.
