A 4-2-2-2 system can work but only if u have exceptional full backs who can get up and down.  We do not have those so the lack of width would hurt the side.  Brazil used to play that way with Carlos and Cafu.

Arsenal due a defeat?  Thats what people were saying when they went a season unbeaten.

Anybody got any news on the fitness of our recently missing players ? Assuming they're all fit I'm expecting Rafa to make wholesale changes (again). Could we see

.                                                Reina
.           Finnan              Carragher           Agger              Arbeloa

.           Benayoun          Gerrard              Alonso             Riise

.                                        Crouch      Torres

Last I heard Agger and Arbeloa were doubtful, I presume Alonso is now fit after travelling midweek.

Kuyt is a quality player played out of position mate. Hes a in and around the box player even a blind man can spot that. When he has scpred he has been playiong a poachers game!

Same with Crouch, but Kuyt just snatches it because he is alot more mobile.

You look at stuff like that and wonder how come the lad hasn't been given more of a go this season.

Being as a few of you think he's God, and had no money to play with, I thought I'd set the record straight.

Is that alright with you?

He’s spent more, so what? You’d expect him to have spent more considering he has been at Arsenal significantly longer than Rafa has been at Liverpool. This is a simple fact that you seem to be ignoring for whatever reason.

No one has said he is a god; people respect him because he has a good eye for young talent and develops his talent into fantastic players who play fantastic winning football. What is wrong with giving respect where respect is due? Every fan dreams of watching their team win in style like Arsenal has been doing since Wenger’s arrival.

It’s fine with me; you post whatever your heart desires. This said  I still fail to see what you are trying to prove here. You point out that Wenger has spent more money, but Wenger has Premiership medals and an entire unbeaten season, where Arsenal played sensational football in his back catalogue. So it’s a trivial point to say the very least.

You know what? I'm not even going to bother explaining it for you again. If you can't grasp this ridiculously easy concept, then I pity you.

Get your dad to read it, then ask him to explain what the grown ups are talking about.

Like i said - sometimes its better not to say anything at all.

Ok fair enough, I haven't even had a beer yet today  :D  :D  :D

I don't think his attacker had much of a point. When do you see those perfectly put formations? before the initial whistle and that's all, then "formations" are quite a flexible thing, widens when you have possesion, narrows in goal kicks, stretches and compacts. Players swap positions, couple of players make alliances to make number superiorities, and teams choose to add a very varying number of pieces in each of the attacks.

"4-4-2" doesn't say much, and how we put them placed in a post shouldn't become a hot discussion.

If Arbeloa isn't fit , then we can expect to see Riise left back and Babel left mid.

I wonder if Rafa will play SG right again. Or will he put him in the middle and play Benayoun right.
I reckon he'll put SG on the right, if Alonso is fit.

Lando - You can expect a load of rubbish off you and, once again you've ve not let me down.

Where are we tomorrow ?

If we win, then WTF has been going on so far ?

If we lose, and that's what we are expecting , so where  are we then ?

A draw will really be a laugh !!
