Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Beskitas was absoulte :censored: and Arsenal are on top form. If we dont win this at anfield we might aswell kiss the league goodbye.

Voronin out, Mascherano out, Hyypia out, Babel out
Torres In , Alonso In , Agger in , Benayoun in

We really need to attack these well. There strong upfront but a little weaker at the back. Hopefully we get Torres Agger and Alonso back for this one. Gerrard should be up for this one so hopefully he plays his socks off.

Can see this going to us 2-0 Torres and Agger

We're not out of it yet! That's like having half yer arm hanging off and saying "f*ck it! Let's amputate the c*nt now because it's useless."

There's still some hope left.

As for the Arsenal game, my thoughts are this: WIN!

And we can win.

Could be a repeat of last season's cup games here....

However, we always seem to do 'em in the league.

Not looking good , we need a messiah to change things around , something is missing and need to be replaced soon . Mayb its Torres ,Alonso or Agger. Bring them back for the Arsenal game and hope it changes things around  , and i hope that pako wasn't the genius that was living under the shadow of Benitez :p

Massive massive game, season defining - win and we announce ourselves as real contenders, lose and we are 9 points behind Arsenal at a relatively ealry stage of the season (they have had a cracking start to be fair though) - real 6 pointer this one for me.

It's a huge match for us and no mistake. I'm not sure about announcing ourselves as real contenders as it'll take us more than one win to do that, but it will certainly ensure that we stay within range. Quite simply, it is my hunch that Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal will now go on extended runs. If any of them drop more than six or seven points over the next ten games I'd be fairly surprised. So I guess thats seven wins one defeat and two draws as an absolute minimum. This is a huge game because as LFC says, defeat would put us nine points behind Arsenal and not quite out of it, but not that far off in all honesty.

Dreading this if I am honest cannot see us winning our form is woeful, better not be giving the ball away so cheaply against these they will slaughter us.

Wish I had more confidence in the team but heads will drop now at the thought of us nearly being out the CL.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

What worries me is that rafa thinks the team is playing "all-right"..... give me a break.

The team is anything but "all-right"....

If rafa does not acknowledge this ans he sets out the team similarily.....expect more of sub-par performance....

I cannot see us winning, Wenger has assembled a much better team at a fraction of the price.

No.....with gerrard on the right there is no width at all...as he almost always comes back to the centre and we are left dead on the right.

We should play a similar formation as last season

               Reina
    Finnan  Carra  Hyppia Arbeloa
    Pennant  Alonso   Mash  Riise
         Gerrard
                          Torres

- Lucas for Alonso if he ain't fit
- Crouch for torres if he ain't fit.

I find this is our strongest line-up (given how we thrashed arsenal last season playing this way).....

But as you know...rafa is stubborn.
Expect him to persist with Kuyt and Voronin....

If we going to play like yesterday, I think :censored:-snail going to "maul" Liverpool just like last season. If that's happen, we can forget about winning the title and runner-up.

It's all down to the boys in Red to show everyone out there that they can beat :censored:-snail.
