Looking forward to next season already.

yeah, our league season was poor but it wasnt a true reflection of the quality in our team. i`m convinced if we had gerrard, alonso and cisse playing all year and getting to know each others games we wouldn`t have been so far of the pace come the end of the season.
i`m not saying we would have won it but we would have been a comfortable fourth at least.
around christmas when the team was starting to settle we had a run going that only ended when xavi alonso broke his ankle, during the run we tonked west brom away, beat a spirited norwich away, beat arsenal with a great performance and were playing chelsea off the park until xavi`s injury. that was the turning point for me in the league. if we would have won that game (which looked likely while xavi was on the park) without alonso getting injured i think we would have broke into the top three.

No one can put a time frame on when we may or may not win anything. This season has stunned us all and suddenly things are going our way. Theres no point in being negative and trying to hold back the momentum, we must press on and beleive again. I would hope that the events of this last week will drive Liverpool forward into a fantastic time. A return to glories we all thought where locked in past, never to be repeated. I think the support and players found it hard to escape our magnificent past, but out of nowhere we did it. We got our trophy back. Now lets get the other.
