The_Fisherman posted this is on RAWK about that pic:

When the banner was carried down towards them

I was gutted for Peter and the lads carrying it

As soon as it came to half way the shitbags turned their back, and doing so turned the whole gesture into a farce, very humiliating indeed.

he also said he thinks it was about 80% of the juve fans who did it.

The picture is worrying, any idea at what point this was taken?
After a Reds goal?  during YNWA?

this image worries me severely, return leg could be nasty.

These are some classy fans.

They flip the bird, but are too pu$$y to look at the camera.

But obviously, they are not the majority.

it such a shame we tried so hard to be extra nice to them all day.

I am afraid it may have been in vain, I am serioulsy worried that we could lose fellow Reds in Turin.  :(

I think the majority of Juve fans are good people AB. I have read stories on RAWk of LFC fans and Juve fans swapping scarves at the end of the match and so forth.

I think it is the Ultras that are going to be the worry. Most hooliagns don't need an excuse to start a fight at a football match, but with Heysel memories still lingering in many of their minds they will be out for blood I think. :(

lets hope the italian police have the match sorted, fans are bused in and out no problems...but it always was going to be the away leg that the problems would be starting :(

Italian police? I have very little confidence in them and the same thing can be said about UEFA, the same group of people who let us play 20 years ago on an obivious unstable ground.

yes it is well known that Italian Police aren't very "comapssioante" to away fans, they will probaly turn a blind eye to anything going on.

it's shocking...Liverpool FC put in a huge effort for today, a real effort and they throw it back in our face.....well lets not stoop to their level and just go to Turin and get a draw or nick a 1-0....

from the bbc news website

During the minute's silence before kick-off in memory of the Heysel victims and the death of Pope John Paul II, Liverpool fans held up a collage of cards to spell out the message "Amicizia" (friendship) to the Juve fans, who responded by clapping.

However, some Italians turned their backs on a banner paraded in front of them by Juventus supporters representatives after it was presented to them by their Liverpool counterparts.

Many Juventus fans wore scarves with the emblems and colours of both Juve and Liverpool
