Lfc's new signings - How good are they/could they be?

What are other fans thoughts on our new signings??

Zenden - so far been a massive let down although think (hope) he will improve
Sissoko - very very impressed with him. Looks a quality addition to the squad. I can see why he is likened to Vierra
Reina - cocky git but a quality player who commands his area with a great presence
Crouch - Jury is out on him

I think Sissoko is the pick of the bunch by a mile at the moment.

But let's see who else comes is as a new signing before we make him "best siging of the summer".   :D  :rasp

Zenden is currently well below lfc standards, it is a pity that the loan of Gonzalez didn´t succed as we desperately need pace down the wings. Hopefully we´ll get him in january.
Sissoko has been guite impressive, he just need to cool a bit and improve his passing, then he may well develop into "the new Viera". Reina is good but he really needs to improve his aerial control.
I really hope that Crouch will enable us to keep possession better than we do with moro in the team.

I am concerned by Morientes. He doesn't seem up for it and his body language is terrible. Sissoko will be class and I agree with Robin_kopite about him improving his passing.

I don't think Zenden is good enough for Liverpool. Gonzales (when he signs) should take his place.

I don't have any real issues with Reina. Yes - he punches a lot but from what I've seen he has been pretty successful at it so far... :p

I think our best summer buy is definately Crouch.

From last season he scored 16 goals (i think) playing 75% of the season for a team that went down. If that doesnt show potential, then what does?

Also, i think all of our other signings will (unfortunately) take a season to adapt to the more physical and more dynamic type of football.

Sissoko already looks too slow on the ball, and whilst he wins it back (physically) he also loses it just as much.

As Reina's a goalie, if he's good enough, he will setlle in easy.

Generally speaking, the only players who can adapt almost instantaneously are northern europeans. (Hamann a perfect example, went top Newcastle and had arguebly the best season of his career there)

But dont get me wrong, I like ALL of the summer signings (including Zenden) but they will need a chance to settle into the system.
