he is ****** huh. He has been the backbone of our defence for years, and although he may lack pace is still one of the beteer defenders going around.

don't talk rubbish.

I agree he is far from ****** but pace is the 1st thing a player loses and Hyypia looks like his increasing lack of mobility could be a real problem. :(
Smith to Shankly:My thigh is a bit sore, but I think I could play.
Shankly to Fagan:Tell him,Joe.He has got no chance of playing.
Smith to Fagan:Tell him to sod off.It is not his leg,it's mine.
Shankly to Smith:Oh no son.You are wrong, son. It is not your leg.
It is Liverpool Football Club's leg.

Ok. Maybe I am a bit critical. I just mean to say that I am happy for the three points, but I also feel that our players lack of abilities will cost us dear this season. We are already far behind arsenal and we do not look like closing that gap any time soon. I know we have to improve, and we have to strenghten our squad. That means getting rid of our weakest links. Them being Kirkland, Finnan, Diao, Hyypia, Dudek, Biscan. These players should be sold. We have to build our team around Gerrard, Alonso, Carra, Cisse and Baros. These players should be kept. We may be able to pull of a few wins based on luck, but with poor players in midfield (Diao for instance) and slow outpaced players in defence (Hyypia) we will drop a lot of points both home and away. I trust Benitez to sort things out. But I must say my patience with our overpaid underperformers are running thin.
If football is banned in heaven. I'd rather go to hell.

Add Kewell to that list, however I disagree with Kirkland being one of the weakest links. It will take just a bit more time before he adapts because he has been out for such a long time.

I doubt that we will see much of Diao and Finnan. For now we have to keep Hyypia but once January comes hopefully Rafael will get somebody better than Sami.

My opinion is hyppia has served us well. But if really wanna challenge for honours, then we need a better centreback. Even my grandma can outrun hyppia  :p

Carra is single-handedly protecting the penalty area now. I can't imagine wat shape of our defence will be in if he is injured.

Fair comment the rock but what p****s me off is all the Hyypia is s**t nonsense. People have very short memories because Hyypia was once one of the best defenders in the world during the treble winning season and because he is not living up to that anymore the stupid ones come here and say he is s**t! Clueless stupid posts!

He's not ******. He still is one the best centrebacks in the premier league. But the thing is, lets face it, the reason why  hamann has to play anchor is because of hyppia.

When hamann was with newcastle, he was and attacking midfielder scoring loads of goals. Then he comes here an plays anchor for so long, that i guess he has forgotten how the oppopsition penalty area looks  :p

In an nutshell, as long as hyppia is in our team, we won't be able to play with 2 attacking central midfielders.
