Kuyt for me. Lucas second.

Kuyt edges it purely for providing key goals at key times this season. He really stepped up in terms of responsibility. That said Lucas has done similar just without the goals.

He has always been a scorer of key goals but this season i fel its been even more important with the way we have struggled.

Nobody has particularly stood out, in the latter half of the season I'd say Kuyt has. Lucas has been consistent, but I don't think consistency is a measure for player of the season

If Suarez was here at the beginning of the season I've no doubt it would be him

Dirk for me. Almost went with Lucas as Mr Dependable, and I certainly remember games where Dirk was a liability in a way Lucas hasn't been. Still, both players have fought all season and one of them deserves it for that reason.

Special mention to Kelly and Meireles who have generally done well.

Too soon for Suarez, and Gerrard, Agger, Carragher have all missed large chunks of the season so I've discounted them.

Yeah I agree if it was just over the last two or three months but before Xmas , Kuyt was awful .
