Kezman - Am i the only 1?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

am i the only person who thinks we missed out on 1 of the buys of the season n maybe of the last 5 years, kezman is a class act and i am sure he will break all scoring records this season hes quality and if we had him we would have no doubt the best strike force in the premiership, his goal to game ratio was better than the tap in king himself in holland and hes alredy scored 3 in 2 games for chelski in there pre season warm ups. RB has missed a bargain there for just 5 mil

Yeah totally agree.

Judging a player off two pre-season friendlies against a team of no-marks and Celtic i'm finding it hard to disagree.

Also, the fact that he'd give us lots of qualities we don't already get from Owen, Baros and Cisse was another major downside to us not signing him.

Come back at the end of the season

We have Cisse, we have Owen, we have Baros and we have Pongolle. Nuff' said.
The man who came to merseyside from Newcastle, the man who says he's part of Liverpool as much as the Liver building. When he was needed Alan Kennedy was there. And with now just 8 minutes to go it could be that Alan Kennedy has made a little history.

Hahahahaha :D
Yeah.......... if only.
They wouldn't see the ball that often unless hoofed hopefully from an over run midfield and an under siege defence .
It has got me thinking though.   Given the " right" six players behind that front four could you get away with it ? :)

I did mention about Kezman's amazing scoring record in a thread about Cisse or Drogba and the fact that he only costs Chelski 5 million.

The Dutch league has some similarities with the EPL with its level of fast pace and physicality and that's why the Dutch players have tendered to adapt well to the EPL. No disrespect to Cisse and Drogba, but the French league must be one of the less difficult ones and that is why so many of France's top players do not play there anymore.

I think he will be a good bargain for Chelski. The big question is, how come this slip us by, and of all people, Chelski seem to be on a bargain.

Maybe they thought , "Our strike force looks a bit ropey , should we buy another striker ? mmmmmmm., or should we use the five mill elsewhere, mmmmmmm ??? "
:p

There is probably only one other striker i would want in the Liverpool squad at the moment and thats a certain french man who i know will never be coming here anyway! I have faith in the four names we have starting the season for us and dont think we are missing out on anyone. Striker talk is over i think?

It would have been difficult to get him as PSV and Chelsea have an agreement, Charlton had agreed a fee for Kezman but as soon as Chelsea admitted an interest that bid was automatically rejected.

Also i doubt he'd have been willing to come here and sit on "The Bench".

No pun intended. :D

I'd take Baros over Kezman at the moment, but time will tell
