Kewell fit to play

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Harry Kewell has been named in Liverpool's squad to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge tonight.

Kewell has not played for the Reds since limping out of the Carling Cup final against Chelsea two months ago. However, the Australian is back in the first team squad despite not being fully fit.

"Baros, Garcia and Alonso will be fit I hope. They will all travel, as will Kewell who is also in the squad," said Reds boss Rafael Benitez.

"Harry is not one hundred per cent. He couldn't play a full 90 minutes, or maybe even 45, but he could play half an hour for sure. He's been working hard for the past month, is a good player and wants to play. This is a boost for us."

2. Members are encouraged to try and avoid multiple posts on identical topics in the same forum. Multiple posting splinters discussion on a topic and its best that only one thread is used for a popular topic. Sometimes where there is 2 identical threads posted at the exact same time as each other (which can accidentally happen immediately after a match or after a news conference) then the moderators may close one of these threads if there is little or no reply to it so as to keep discussion to one thread.
