Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Kewell, don't make me laugh. He has a better chance of winning a lottery than playing much this season. Zenden,Riise will be the main competition. Also Gonzales depending on how he recovers.

Kewell is be playing this season and Rafa wouldn't have kept him (and had faith to play him in the European cup final) if he wasn't keen on the guys ability.

But how much could he have got for an injury filled winger his value can only go one way

Mate Kewell is not going to be a big of a threat if he carries his lousy attitude and continues to be injury prone.

The main competition will be Riise and Zenden. Benitez isn't daft to play Riise as a LB after witnessing him getting ran over tonight and against Olympiacos.

Well impressed by Sissoko, hes got better with each games and his nerves seem to have gone, Think Hyypia is lookin ragged anyone even remotely fast skins him with ease but he does get no help from Risse and i believe Warnock has a place at left back if he stays fit, although dont wanna get bogged down with the negatives, We created loads of chances but didnt take half, but its not when your missin chances you worry, its when your making no chances at all, Cisse looks sharp but wasteful, Crouch caused all the problems i expected (did excellent for 1st goal). Garcia also proved why we wont be seeing much of him on the road this season, still far to wasteful in possession but capable of doin somethin brilliant defo needs to hold the ball better.

But all in all a good team performance, a jamie goal, alonso masterclass, yet again and good competitive debuts for Big Pete and Momo.

perfectly happy with tonight, although they scored first we never looked in danger of being anything but comfortable winners

the main thing is that apart from a short burst when we scored our first 2 goals, we were cruising in 3rd gear with the ability to step things up if needed

No, only goals scored during the group stage and thereafter do.
