I think hes been a great signing and at 2million, a bargain. Hopefully a sign of rafas usefullness in the transfer market and ability to sign good players for cheap. He played well in both our first 2 games. hes great going forward and his tackles are as good as stevie's imo. what does everyone else think...

I think he is doing good so far, he's a good defensive player however he can't give ur opponents free kicks, only if a rough tackle is really needed to stop the player.

to think we payed 2million for him and chelski got fearria and cavlaho for around 40million altough they are champions league winners

We made a good deal with Josemi that's for sure. I hope that Nunez will be just as good, even though he was a bench player for Real but you can't critisize him because he was on the bench. Afterall all the star players are on the starting eleven so he probably didn't have a chance.

chelsea certainly pay ridiculous amounts of money for players. they paid about 30million for tiago and ferreira, 2 players who couldn't make the portugal team

the only bargain they got was kezman for 5 million and he only got on at the end today. i didn't see anything of this nunez guy. he cant be too bad if rafa wants him.

Havn't seen a lot of Josemi yet but read good reports so I am pleased with that.
As for Nunez..well I am very hopeful.
For starters Rafa the gaffer likes him and did while he was still at Valencia so that is good news.
Also Real have this buy back clause on him...surely that means they like him a lot.
Thirdly he is on not a starter becuase Figo and Beckham are ahead of him. He is a Madrid bench player...so what? So is Morientes, so is Guti and numerous other talented players.
I dunno,. time will tell but reports say he is quick and skillful and with teh above in mind I have to be confident he can do a job for us

Josemi seems like a bit of a hard case.
In the preseason, he almost gave an AC roma player
"a Liverpool kiss", followed shortly by a tackle, vintage Dave Mckay(I know, that's old)

He's gotta keep it under control. :devil:

I like him, he definately won't bottle out of a challange. I have to agree with A.B. though, he can't afford to give away too many free kick around the area or we will be punished.

the lads a good player, solid in the tackle and good going forward. A true premiership player. Only draw back is the free kicks he concedes!

I think the lad is mint, I might have him on my shirt this season, I like the way he doesn't fook about and puts his foot in when needed :cool:

He does tend to dive in , it'll be interesting to see how many cards he picks up .
I think he had a poor disciplinary record in Spain. A slight worry but deffo a good signing for us .

He`s a living proof off that rafa knows what he`s doing. The likes of Henry and Giggs can run but they can`t hide; Look forward to seeing them face down on the grass after a solid Josemi-tackle
