When he was at Newcastle I felt  he was a big fish in a small pond. Now he's a big fish in a big pond. Just needs to hit a thunderbolt into the roof of the net and he'll have his song before long
joey ate the frogs legs
made the swiss roll
now he's munching gladback

Very impressed by him today. Can't really believe we only paid 5,5 million for him? :D

I think that's far out weighed by the 35m we spent on Carrol and 20m on Henderson.

Awesome today, simple things like showing Walcott down the line time and time again, he never got a sniff, he had pace to match as well. Our left side actually looks better than our right!! Who'd have thunk it eh?
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

When is the last time you can remember a 5 million pound signing having an instant impact?

Early days still but this guy looks damn good. I think it's safe to sell Aurelio now :D

i know it's early, but..... :D

I really rate this guy. Reminds me of Markus Babel in the sense he's strong, intelligent with his passing and can push forward as well as cover his defensive duties.

Just a solid LB. Decent both going forward and at taking care of business at the back.
Looks like we will have little problems at LB this season unless he gets injured.

What a game he played.  My MOTM, and he linked up with Downing so well time and time again.  That run he had in the first half when he took on 3 or 4 Arsenal players and just blew past them was great.

Spot on - he looks a pretty complete player
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

Best value summer signing by a long way. £6m is a steal for someone who can become the best LB in the league and play for one of the best international sides in the world in Spain.

According to Garth Crooks, who put him in his team of the week last week:

"Jose Enrique played against Arsenal like he had been in that Liverpool team all his life. As strong as Alan Kennedy in defence and a left foot like Alec Lindsay in attack. An excellent purchase by Mr Dalglish.
Did you know? Enrique embarked on five dribbles, more than any of his Liverpool team-mates and a third of the team's total."

I wonder if hes made it in this week after his outstanding performance yesterday...?

He wasn't as great yesterday as he was against Arsenal, but you can't expect him to play like the MOTM every single game.  I thought he did well against Bolton, but he wasn't as needed as against Arsenal.
