attract better footballers to the club simply because hes on board.
Dalglish is a big deal here but Cruyff is simply on another level in those
terms.
From that perspective he could be very useful to us.

It would be the end of average British policy, and hello to quality.
Please let this be true.

Thats not necessarily a bad thing as we clearly need some new ideas.

saying that cruyff is an interesting shout, he`s opinionated and arrogant but he was also the best european footballer thats ever lived.
it was cruyff who took the `total football` philosophy to barcelona, he was the architect, he set the whole club up to play that way, everyone who has followed in the dutchmans steps at the nou camp has been reading from his blueprint.
lets face it that style of footy is the way forward, in the 70`s and 80`s teams could negate that style of play by getting stuck into them and kicking them off the park but these days footy is practically a non contact sport, we`ve just got to accept that the sport isnt a physical game anymore, cruyff`s vision of how the game should be played dovetails with the changes in the rules of the game.
cruyff and kenny actually have a similar philosophy on how the game should be played, kenny`s late 80`s team is up there with the best of them and imo would have played cruyff`s european cup winning barcelona team of the late 80`s off the park if it hadnt been for the ban so their shouldnt be any clashes over the style of footy. there might be clashes because you have two huge ego`s who were great players and i mean great players in their day but at least they`ll agree on the way forward in terms of style.
cruyff being at the club will help us bring talented players to the club too, as a DoF he will be meeting potential transfer targets and lets face it a f**king legend up there with the pele`s and maradona`s working for a historic club like liverpool is going to impress players.
i dont want a DoF, but if we are to have one at least lets have a footballing visionary and not some mathmatician who`s convinced 30 crosses, 40 headers and 12 tackles in the opposition third wins you games.
for those who never saw the dutch master play - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YU-k-Ots3iY&feature=related
