Joaquin - Too good to be true

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I for one would pay £20m in jan for a cup tied Joaquin- what a MF that would be-
as for the truth of the reports Im always a bit dubious- remember Figo's undying love for LFC

Lets hope we can impress the lad so much that he really wants to come,
The spanish connection and a taste of an Anfield CL night should do it

As for rafa not willing to pay big fees- that may be case when he feels we are not getting value for money- But I dont think he would hesitate when it comes Joaquin

Joaquin would be a brilliant signing, and one which will definately bolster our premiership campaign. However, come January, if we are struggling in the league, what would be the point in splashing out 20m+ on a player (who will only be eligable in the PL) if we are way out of contention. I think it would be far wiser to wait until post season, when we get our new season transfer budget.

Also, after the four games against Liverpool & Chelsea i think we will be able to identify how strong he really is.

chelsea aftar u sed that now tell me SWP is not weak

You know, to be very honest I have noticed that SWP has had the ball robbed from him a few times and has fallen over like he has weak legs. But I know this is down to him settling down in the team and adjusting his movement to the area he is given, its been only 5 games.

He is proven in the EPL and scored a lot of indivudially inspired top class goals for City last season.

To be honest Chelsea Forever most of our Spanish contingent with the exception of Morientes have fit in perfectly. Alsonso was named best passer in the premiership last season, and well you know what Garcia did. I think Joaquin will be a welcomed aqquisition if he does come. Yes the EPL may be more physical but when your a winger you dont have to generally be a tough nut to get past people. Look at C Ronaldo for instance, hes not a physical player but he can shoot up and down the wings all day long. We have more physical players now in the cenre where it is required like Sissoko and that has i think help to improve our away form so far.

I think that Joaquin is a player tha LFC will be prepared to fork out for. Im not going to sing Joaquins praises too much so not to fill up 10 pages of threads and then to find out the deal flopped like Simao but yes im sure every LFC fan would love to have him play.

I wouldn't mind if the club splashed out between £17-21 million on Joaquin because IMO the RM problem would be solved for the next four to five years. He is an inspirational player that could only make the team better and the likes of Crouch/Morientes would only benefit if he was in the first team.

However I still think we need cover for CB and therefore I think Simao may be a better option as he is an excellent player and would be cheaper. Buying Simao could still allow us to buy a decent CB and as we all know Rafa wants both a CB and RM.
REST IN PEACE PHIL!

DONT BELIEVE THAT RUBBISH.

Sorry, but Joaquín wouldn't say that kind of rubbish like "they will see how good I am"

It's just not him.

Whoever translated it, has done it to stir up :censored: intentionally.

I am 100% SURE it's PURE UNADULTERATED TRASH.

I remember Joaquin as being a pretty arrogant player. There was once he commented on David Beckham, although i couldnt really recall whats it about but he was sarcastic. Other than that, he is a fantastic right winger and i will welcome him with open arms  :D

:D  spot the weakest link .    :D

Are you serious including Harry in that line up ? Not looking to start another Kewell thread here ,certainly the Kewell that played for Leeds would not be out of place in that midfield but the one we have is another story .

Back to Joaquin .
Would be a fantastic accquisition ,maybe we could get him on a cash plus player deal (if Morientes hasn't done it by Jan I'd offer him as part of the deal, I've got a sneaking feeling he would welcome a return to spain ,think that despite his class it's not gonna happen for him in the prem .)
