When Hodgson himself says he doesn't like it and finds it disrespectful then I will not call him Woy . Let's remember a lot of Fulham fans called him Woy and it hasn't seemed to off bothered him . There is no harm at the end of the day and certainly nothing worthy of the type of responses in here . We got more important things to worry about soon

Dead right. Did the previous manager ever say he was offended by the Fat Spanish waiter comments that some people apparantly used? S'Pose he must have given that people on here jumped up and down about it even though people didn't actually use it.

Long as we're being consistent, that's the main thing.

Exactly. Mods should delete this nonsense of a thread trying to tell people what they can and can't do or say. People should stop taking themselves so seriously with pet hates, not everyone is going to say things you always like or agree with so get used to it.

???

Erm, to borrow your words

not everyone is going to say things you always like or agree with so get used to it.

I actually agree with that last bit.    :D

I'm not going to get into why people did or didn't get banned.

I must say though, that so far I'm really enjoying this pre-season, it's been funny seeing people tying themselves in knots over the new manager.

First of all it was OK to abuse him and disrespect him because he wasn't actually our manager yet. Then it was all OK because he doesn't actually read the forum, and now it's all light-hearted fun, and as he hasn't actually said that he doesn't want people taking the p!ss out of the way he speaks, it's OK.

Then we were bound to finish midtable because Roy is a mid table manager. All the best players would inevitably leave, because Roy is a mediocre manager who wouldn't get their respect. Now, the fact that it seems all the players are staying is nothing to do with Roy. Similarly, even if we improve on last season it's nothing to do with Roy because we would have done it anyway . I've enjoyed it so far, and my hope is it'll get even better once the football starts.

Just to re-iterate my own stance: I don't care one iota what people call our new manager, whether or not they respect him or whether or not they rate him. That, and and the way they behave, is entirely up to them.

But people arent tieing themselves in knotes over this Mick - the usual control freaks are trying to stamp their will on the masses and the great masses are quietly bemused. Its a completely unnecessary discussion.

i wouldnt think that just yet...  i don't know whats going through their heads but ive yet to hear Gerrard, Torres or Mascherano say that they will stay here.   Lets hope they do though.

Im still hoping the rumours of a big July 15th announcement will be true!  maybe the players are waiting for that too.

I don't think people calling Roy "Woy" would upset him though.  i wear glasses and id laugh if someone called me a spec eyed f.uck.  :D

The control is disguised as being 'passionate' and a 'real' fan.  We must conform.

I guess the older you get the less you accept conformity.
