I have stepped foot on all continents and have met a Red on every one. Dozy question really, needs reversing : like 'Tell me a tale of somewhere that you have not met someone with an interest in the fortunes of 'Shankly's Army'.

Load of 'rollocks'. That's a lousy ride. I have had more fun waiting in the outpatients at Arrowe Park.

cptrios wrote:I'm an American, I live in Boston.  Whenever I spot someone in an LFC shirt, I walk up and make conversation.  This is how it usually goes:

Me: Liverpool, eh?

Person: (after looking at me strangely for a minute, then remembering    he's wearing the f***ing shirt) Oh, yeah.

Me: So what do you think of Alonso?

Person: Huh?  Oh...I really don't know anything about soccer.

Me: Then why are you wearing the shirt?

Person: I dunno, it looks cool/my girlfriend bought it for me/I got it when I was "discovering myself" in England.  I frankly don't even like soccer.  It's boring.

So I've given up.  I did get to go to the Celtic game in Connecticut this summer, and got a chance to meet some real fans.  But then there was the American father sitting behind me imparting football wisdom onto his son..."Gerrard Houllier is the manager.  Robbie Fowler plays for Newcastle now.  Nobody ever scores on free kicks (2 seconds later, in goes Riise's shot)"

Holy ****** a guy walked up to me the other day and asked me those exact questions, they caused me to rethink my life. So now i find myself here....... come to think of it what the heck am I doing here?

But to be totally honest I meet so many of the people cptrios is talkin about, only in virginia tho. BUT what I've never met is a Reds Fan and an Oasis Fan now that is the ultimate combo.  I lived in virginia for 6 years and i've failed to meet a single Oasis fan, and only a handful of football fans
