Is sinama-pongolle on his way?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Hello Kopites,

I'm just wondering if any of you know what's happening with Sinama-Pongolle?  I'm hearing rumours that he is off on loan to Leicester City (who badly need a half decent striker) with an option to buy.

Anyway, I'd really appreciate it if any of you could let me know on any developments on this.  It's probably just a rumour but if you know anything please let me know.

Congratulations on beating TNS by the way

Can't see it happening, he's still injured if I am not mistaken so thats why he hasn't been involved in our pre-season games.

I would be surprised if he was farmed out on loan before he has even regained full fitness.
Although it would do him no harm..cant see us giving leicester an option to buy him though, or leicester having the money. He cost us £3 million and has done well when selected.
There would be alot of disappointed fans if a young promising striker was allowed to leave, myself included.
You can have Le Tallec though. :p

Indeed you did correctly sense some sarcasm.  Couldn't resist.

So none of you know if Sinama-Pongolle is off to Leciester, never mind, I trust you'll let me know if you hear anything further.

Cheers

I think Rafa is very high on Sinama-Pongolle. And he is currently injured and the last time I read, he should be fit to play again in Nov. So, I doubt he will be sold or loan.

Sinama-Pongolle's injury recovery time seems even longer then Cisse's, how could it be?

Cruciate ligaments are very serious injuries Militia. Often the person who suffers the injury needs to learn to walk again.

The breaking of a bone itself doesn't take as long to heal, it's all the legiment's and tendon's the do the most damage and take the longest to heal. Especially if they have been snapped or hyper extended.

Pongolle is a quality player with a lot of potential. I doubt if Rafa will sell/loan him out. Wait till he recovers fully he will be my first choice RW.

doubt rafa will sell pongolle. he seem to be in rafa's future plan.

Happened to a mate of mine recently.

He had a cruciate operation on an old knee injury about a month ago. He said he basically had to learn to walk again and still limps heavily (but enough about his sexual function).
