What a complete waste of money and yet you trust him with 30+million? ???

Well Heskey is a Bargain at 11 million
wenger paid 14 mill for wiltord!

The fact is we needed desperatly a striker when we bought Heskey due to i'll form and injury! So he had to pay a lil extra for him!

Diouf yes has turned out to be dissapointing but your never getting a garantee with a player!

How many dissapointments have chelsea paid for!
"LOTS"

I trust him to spend wisely as he had last year!

Come on Stu, £11m and he hasn't played like an £11m player, all these mediocre signing have been 'useful' but we don't want 'useful' players we want players that perform on a regular basis, thats why were underachiving and not consistant.

Get real!

this summer has now become the most important in liverpools recent history. at least the players who are already coming in (cisse, possibly mexes) are big names who have been scouted by most of europe.

I'm kissing no-ones ***** kid.

At the end of the day i'm simply a realist.

Without paying 11million for Heskey we would never have done that cup treble and thats something i will NEVER as long as i live forget.

Heskey has shown his brilliance at times, its a shame he didn't show it more often, its time for him to move on, but he wasn't a waste of money by any stretch of the imagination.

As for the rest, Smicer, Cheyrou and other players many of them were signed as Squad players to cover for injurys. Not as first teamers.

He signed first teamers last season in Kewell and Finnan and he's going to do that again this summer with Cisse and whoever else he brings in.

Get off the mans back. In the word supporter there is the word support, do you job.

Come on guys. We will se some major changes this summer. After the takover bid, the new board members will replace current management. It is obvious that we have failed both on and off the pitch. The new investors have probably seen that this club is underachieving. If they act wisely and turn things around. Then they have made a very smart business deal.

I do not think any investor would spend  £ 500 mio ++ just to please mr Houllier and his players.

i agree with stu and redtribe in saying that his so called bad signings have not been as terrible as people have made out, ok we expected a lot more from diouf and cheyrou but the rest were signed as having potential or as squad players and he didnt spend a great deal on these type of players!

i also agree with stmichael in that i believe this summer will be our most important one for years we will have a bit of money to spend, we bought very very wisely last year with kewell n finnan they wil be awesome next season imo, so houllier will buy more established players were we need them he is not a mug he knows like us where we need to improve!
