Who could we have got?

Porto - nope, qualified from same group
Chelsea - nope, English club protection
Manchester United - nope, English club protection

That leaves :-

Real Madrid
AC Milan
Barcelona
Inter Milan
Sevilla

so out of those that remained are people seriously saying they'd rather have got reigning Champions AC Milan or 2006 Champions Barcelona or maybe NINE times Champions Real Madrid? That only left Sevilla or Inter Milan, as far as I'm concerned we got off quite lightly

The mancs nearly always get easy draws which suits me as they are then beaten by the first decent side they face (normally QFs, if not then SFs) That's why their much cited "grand record" of the past - 7 consecutive QFs - was such a joke. The supposed 'best English club ever' was boasting about reaching the LAST EIGHT 7 years in a row. How about 2 finals in 3 years? That's not last eight but down to the last two. For all their domination in England the mancs/fergie have failed to conquer Europe and relied on one lucky win to complete their treble
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer

I dont think Kenny, Rushie or Graeme Souness would have worried about drawing a team like Inter.

There´s a job to be done and the lads need come up with the confidence to go out there and do it.

Game on.

Happy with that.

It's most probably the toughest draw we could have had, barring possibly Barca.

I don't see many goals in the tie, 1-0 may be all it takes over 2 legs.

Hi guys...

I rooted for you in the matches you made against Milan in CL and I have great respect for your club and for all of you but this time you'll have to contend with MY team.

I'm sure they will be two great matches but I hope and I believe it will be Inter to go to quarter finals.

don't underrate Zlatan Ibrahimovic...if he wants, he can do anything   :D

Welcome Blueblackblood, I don't think anyone is underrating Zlatan he's the best player you have, but many Liverpool supporters just don't like him very much.  This a difficult one to call, but I favor us to win it because you guys are terrible in Europe.  Let's just hope that these two games will be memorable and enjoyable.

Zlatan is only one of the great players we've got

Samuel, Materazzi, Maicon, Chivu, Figo, Stankovic, Cambiasso, Crespo, Cruz...

I think you underrate us...I hope for you your team won't do the same :D

Gerrard is the best midfielder in the world BUT:
TORRES? PFFFFFFFF
BENAYOUN? IS A JOKE?
BABEL-- GOOD PlaYER
KUYT-- the worst forward i've never seen

in Italy we think that about theese players.... and we know football  VERY WELL!

in your team I like: GERRARD, MASCHERANO, XABI ALONSO, CARRAGHER.

BUT your forwards are scarces

Hi everybody from Milan!!

I love this draw, maybe because I love liverpool, untill I was a baby liverpool was my second team, my english favourit team.
But this year we want this champions league. We know that we are ready to win.
We hope to have for february vieira stankovic and figo that are injured at this time.
We are afraid for this draw but is better to lose with liverpool than lose with valencia ( :censored:!!!) like last year.

So we wait for you in Milan 11st March to have a drink together!!!!!

Good luck also for premier!!!!

now we don't have to think about champions because this sunday we have "derby" against AC, and a win will be very important for us!!!!

Maybe it's true that in the last years we made a poor showing in Europe but things are changing...our team is now more solid and
conscious of its strenght.

Last year we poked fun at Milan...the same Milan that beated you in CL final

However may the best one win :D

It does not matter who has better players in each position.  It all comes down to who has the better manager and Rafa is a much better coach in CH league than Mancini.
