You want to align yourself with the way these two are carrying on, that's up to you fella. All that b0ll0cks in your previous post about people complaining to mods, ask em fella I've never complained about you, lando or anyone else. I really want to reply to some of those replies from Mick on Landos post but I just can't be arsed.

Although Mick 'season of death' is a bit dramatic.

You're right about one thing, it used to be an LFC supporters forum. These days, you can't talk about the team and football without some stupid fecker getting on his high horse and accusing you of not being a "real fan". Whoever dreampt up the idea that on a football forum it is imperative that everyone agrees with everyone all the time was barmy.

No martyrs, no violins, no need for any of that old nonsense. I just get tired of reading the same whinging fecking fannies whinging about the same old sh!t. "oh these nasty people keep being too doom and gloom, why don't they love the manager as much as I do, they are hoping the team lose so they can wollow in it". These are the same people who were talking not two days ago about how fantastic it woulod be if we got Mourinho in as manager and he fecked it up, "poetic" they described it as. they were nearly right, pathetic it is not poetic.

The topic is about if you could change one thing, which thing would have impacted most on our season. It's hardly fecking earth shattering stuff, it's hardly even a Rafa bash although God only knows people could hardly complain if it was. It just suits certain people to turn threads into slanging matches, because they have nothing to contribute. "You're too negative" they say, and yet they don't make a positive contribution ever to general football discussion. Nothing wrong with disagreeing, nothing wrong with having an opionion, but why always the same old sh!t off of the same old people. Like I say fella, you're entitled to your opinion just the same, you stand alongside who you want, makes no odds.

andy_g wrote:kazza and lando, do you not see the irony / hypocrisy in what you are saying? you continuously accuse mick of repetitively writing the same old things and trying to convert people to believe the same as him - but is that not exactly the same as you two are trying to do? for example, lando, you mention at the top of this page that you try to 'put people right' and get ever more frustrated when you don't succeed. frustrated to the point in fact that you get yourself all in a tizz and pick up another card. kazza, you just go for the character assassination and make all sorts of childish insults and speculations about mick's character. you then both dream up this fantasy that he has a bunch of 'followers', 'cohorts', 'acolytes' or whatever and you only get more and more frustrated and start banging away at your keyboards with ever more fervour in an attempt to sway peoples' views even more.

the truth of the matter is that the only people who are Fu*king up this forum are the ones that constantly bitch and moan about the input of other posters who are at least trying to dicuss the matters in hand. if you don't like it then be a grown up and ignore it and move on until you find something you'd like to dicuss. don't behave like a little school kid throwing around stupid infantile insults and casting aspersions about peoples' characters and then claim some sort of moral high ground for having done so.

to be honest i find myself agreeing less with mick's views and miss the days when he'd post good stuff about tactics, formations and intricacies of the game. but right now the overriding theme is that we're in trouble and there's a lot we can discuss about why that is the case.

let's have a couple of open questions:
a) are we currently in a precarious situation with the team performing badly?
b) shall we highlight what the problems are then, and see if we can work out where its been going wrong?

if your answer to question 'a' is a resounding 'no' then there is no point reading on because your heads are firmly buried in the sand. just carry on shouting 'go, rafa!' and waving your scarf believing that everything is just rosy in the garden of lfc. dismiss the ones who are concerned about the defeats as people happy to have their point proven (ridiculous assumption number 1 on this forum), not 'real' supporters, and build your insulting barricades a little higher.

if your answer is 'yes', as most open minded, objective thinking people would answer, then lets have a discussion about why that is the case. lets analyse all the possibilities about purchases, budgets, individuals, tactics, motivations, etc etc etc. the truth is we don't know the definitive answer but at least we can have a good hard look at things. and yes, its going to get a little repetitive because their isn't a whole lot else to talk about. its also not always going to be pleasant reading because its not exactly a pleasant situation to be in. or would you prefer a small number of threads like,

- europa league, yay we'll win it!
or
- rafa benitez, its ok, he'll make it all better
or
- kuyt, he's the 2nd best winger in the premiership

followed by 300 posts basically saying 'yes, thats right, we're the best'...?? support and flag waving is for the ground, and in and around the pubs before and after the game. that's where we do our work as supporters to cheer on the team, to show them our passion and belief. on here it doesn't really matter, none of them are reading it, and we should be free to say what's on our minds about the state of the team and its performances.

That's a quality post mate. I can understand why some posters get a little bit hot under the collar with some of Micks posts, he does probably overplay the phrases 'delayed gazelle' and 'fecking Parry' a bit too much knowing that it winds up a few on here but I get surprised at the vitriol that comes his way some of the time, it seems to border on hate which is crazy because this place, a the end of the day, is just a football forum where people (sometimes) talk about football.

Too many injuries and not having the required talent in reserve is clearly the problem. There are potentially many reasons why this is so but I'll leave it there as people's opinions are somehow being turned around into something which they are clearly not. Forums should be about discussion and counter discussion not personality insults. We are all fans of LFC first and foremost otherwise we wouldn't be on here. My biggest problem is when people try to insinuate, just because an opinion has negative connotations/undertones, that that person is somehow not a fan. The flipside obviously being that the more you praise the better the fan you are! Frankly idiotic! We all want what's best for the club whether that's coming from the half full or half empty perspective.

i think andyg's post earlier explained it all perfectly.

Not sure why when we are struggling so much in the league out of the champions league and the league cup people arent allowed to criticise the manager at all.

Its not just his fault, not by a long chalk (what does that saying mean)
But why cant he be criticsed by some ?

'by a long chalk'... by a long way, from the the game of dominoes where they used a chalk to write down notations while playing ( a long chalk would mean that there was a long way to go before it was finished).

Fact 1: A shocking spell of injuries to key players.

Fact 2: The sale of Alonso.

Fact 3: The gaffer being given duff advice about Aquilani's recovery period.

Fact 4: Key players playing with their heads up their a*se.

Fact 5: A net spend of £16,000 in the summer.

Fact 6: The new players ALL being replacements for first-choice players, not additions to the squad.

Fact 7: We couldn't afford £12m for Turner (or Shawcross).

Fact 8: Rafa in general never gets his first or second-choice signings as we're always out-bid/priced-out.

That enough for you?

Lando, lando for all your and my defence of Rafa
FACT 2 It is rafas fault that Alonso is no longer here.

FACT 3 is wrong, Rafa signed an injured player and it is a FACT he hardly played, you cannot blame anyone but rafa for signing him. Im sorry mate but you cant.
