That's quite a lot for only three and a bit seasons, three whole SQUADs worth of strikers excluding players like Luis Garcia, Diouf, Smicer etc.

If he carries on chopping and changing every season will that entitle him to be manager as long as he likes? He may not always have had the money to bring in the players he really wanted, but then he shouldn't have splashed out on players he didn't......................... Even though I am in the Anti brigade one thing I will say in Rafa's defence about buying players in the past.
They where all we could afford at the time we didnt have the money that Man U, Arsenal and Chelsea have spent.

We still dont have a team of 5 individuals over 20 million pound either.

One thing that has annoyed me though is buying to many players instead of two or three great ones.

David Moores payed for Kuyt out of his own inheritance we couldnt even afford him at the time. 10 million.

and also I may be wrong in saying this but I dont really think Rafa is a fan of strikers anyway, he seems to prefer the whole team scoring rather than two individuals.

Would explain why they get rotated, dropped or what ever you want to call it, and secondly Kuyt is played out of position and is finding it very hard to be scoring on a regular basis.

If I was Rafa I would give Babel a go upfront with Kuyt or Torres, because he is not a winger to begin with.
And the lad is absolutley world class when he plays as a CF for Holland.

Yeah

Voted for second, after being in the title run all the way may just get pipped by Mancs as we might stumble under the first real attempt at lifting the crown to nerves.

I voted for the wrong option, but I would have chosen ‘Second at least’. If the team fails to win this season, then I’ll be content with a runner up finish and a closer point’s margin between first and second place.
