rather than signing some random foreigner, signing british who has the potential to step it up and become top class under the right management

What i liked most about Adam is his attitude ,he is a leader he isn't afraid of anyone and won't hide on the pitch ,like other players we currently have. He isn't a spectecular passer or dribbler but his steady stable and up for the job. Really impressed me with his mindset and mentality on the field.

He isn't spectacular at passes and his afraid of no one?

Do you watch football like? Adam is a wonderful passer and if anything his tackling isn't great. But, he will be a fantastic addition at thus club. A marvelous player who will fit in great with kennys new Liverpool.

Regarding Suarez, I'm so fed up of reading certain posts on here saying get it done, stop negotiating and sack Commolli etc! That's some of the reasons we are in this mess. Too many so called fans play fm and think they can change a whole team with a couple of clicks of a mouse.

It's depressing and really makes you think whether Liverpool fans are as knowledgable about football than they would like to think the are.

You should be depressed at your level of understanding....

Read Again...Adam ,in my opinion if you allow me that is, He is a good passer a very good one ,but not spectcular ,he is no Alonso and doesn't have this deep imaginative passes you see from time to time. And when i refered to him not being afraid it is plain and simple. He isn't afraid to be shown to ask for the ball to lead the ball ,it has nothing to do with tackles..And bottom line i would really like him to Join Liverpool.

Sorry but you clearly are uneducated on Adam. I personally do not think he is as good as Alonso but to suggest he doesn't have the same passing range and imagination is bullsh!t.

Youtube it.

I doubt you or anyone else (including myself i admit) has followed Adams' career on a weekly basis to make such observations (saw him a few games).

Let's agree that we need to sign him and see how he develops ,like i said he would be a good addition to the club.

Sky recently did a montage of his passing from this season (I think it was after the Wolves game, or before?) and the passes they picked out were as good as anything Alonso did here.

Well, its all gone very quiet today.  No rumours with any substance at all.  There is hardly even any speculation on RAWK at the moment.  Seems like Ajax, Blackpool and Liverpool are all playing hardball and its a bit of a stalemate.

I hear the Manc's are considering a 5M + Gibson bid for Adam  -->  just a twitter rumour though.

The cun.t

got me fuming mate.. but he did try to flirt with the female reporter :D

I actually had a sneaky feeling he might do something like that, but then decided I was probably just being a bit paranoid. Turns out I was right and the man just doesn't have any class at all. Don't put your f'in big red whiskeynose into our matters please

Re Suarez I really hope his meeting with the Ajax board is fruitful for us and that they don't just manage to convince him to stay for the remainder of the season instead.

I think Adam would improve the squad, and would fit into a 4-3-3 which seems to be Kenny's preference.

My only worry is that at Blackpool he is top dog, the equivalent of Gerrard at LFC, and I only hope he can adjust to life at a club so much bigger in every way than Blackpool it would be like a different planet to him.  He has been at Rangers, but still, a shock to the system, as Roy found out.

Having said all that, having been very optimistic earlier in January, today seems quite down beat, with all deals looking stale.  £12m is the best gag from Holloway all season, with his real value around half of that, but he is contracted to them, and he can say what he likes.  The player wants to leave though, and no matter what Holloway says, it is never good to keep someone who doesn't want to be there, who will resent being denied his life changing move.
There are rumours of Blackpool being linked to other players, which is a new development, so maybe they are starting to plan for life after Adam?

I am really hoping that Comolli is secretly doing fantastic work, and when we unveil two or three top players for decent money, I will be the first to sing his praises...at the momemt though, he looks to be acheiving very little, and with signing players being the entire point of his job, then he needs to do it quickly.

He has a lot more roles than that...but its certainly one of the main area's.

Well, what we do know for a fact is that we have sold one player and brought in 0 players and there is only a few days left of the window. Which makes it less likely that we will sgn anybody as the selling team needs time to find replacements.

All facts and logic. What is also a fact is the owners putting in pathetic bids of 4 millions for Adam and 12.5 millions for Suarez.
That will get us nowhere. It is time for the owners to walk the walk and not just talk the talk.

Maybe the selling clubs are finding or have already found replacements but they're hanging on until the last minute in case we break and offer them the 30 million. Maybe if we'd of bid 12.5 million for Saurez and they'd have accepted we'd have a bargain so it was only right that we as a club put in a cheeky offer to start the ball rolling.

lets say your buying my house and it's valued by me at £300,000. Now I know my house only worth £210,000 but i've set the bar high and now you, ya cheeky runt, have just come along and offered me  £120,000 for it. so i'll hold it out until the last minute and we'll agree on £200,000.

simples.  you never ever just 'pay up the asking price'.

so in this case maybe Ajax wont except 12 million but would except 20 million on the last day.

Try not to worry mate its only Taggart just throwing a few digs while he can ....wait till the proper war of words starts next season when the Reds will be challenging again ... Dalglish is the absolute master at knowing what buttons to press where Taggart is concerned as was Benitez before him ....
I personally cant wait for next season mate

zzz...

Man, is there anybody living in this universe who thought 12.5 would be anywhere near enough? Already in the summer after the WC all the talk was 20+ and nothing has changed for that to be any different now.

We know the club made those bids and for me it would be the same as if someone bid 20 million for Torres. An insult.

And waiting for the last day logic won't float for me.
That is wishful thinking at best.

Right now we are not doing any busniess, behind closed doors or not.

Exactly, all press speculation and spin.

But with a name like Penguins what do you expect?

Thanks for the insult.

What is not a fact?

That we have bought 0 players?
That we have put lowball bids for Adam and Suarez?

But do go back under your rock and believe that all will be well and lots of players will come on the last day.... :no
