Hes been head and shoulders the best player on the pitch tonight.

Also it would seem that to get a penalty when you are 2-0 against Man Utd requires one of your players to be literally murdered

If we leave it a minute longer I wouldnt be surprised if the Mancs get him. We need to get him before they do.

Don't quite understand this charlie Adam business. I haven't seen enough of him myself to form an opinion but heard Lawro last night on R5 valuing him at 6m. I'd have thought that either he's a very good player - in which case some other club would be snapping him up for 7/8 million (plenty of PL clubs should be able to afford this and if he's that good would be a steal for this money). On the other hand maybe he is really worth 4-6million. Now if this is the case, is he really good enough for LFC? We're still trying to ship out the remaining  of the countless mediocre Benitez signings (my champagne is still on ice for when Babel is officially gone *update - cork has been popped*). In addition to the obvious that need replacing or at least selling to bring some money in IMO (Poulsen/Konchesky/Maxi/Jovanovic) we have major problems at the back that need addressing - notwithstading G Jonhson (if he can be described as a defender, hard to tell with him), Carragher is getting too old, Skrtel has proved he's not good enough, probably ditto for the Greek and Agger is too injury prone and inconsistent (when fit and in form he's fine..but he rarely is). Will be interesting to see what happens with Adam..could be a good buy at the right price I guess, especially if it means Poulsen/Maxi/Jovanovic can leave, but centre-back seems to be the more urgent problem to me at the moment.

Be it Suaretz adam or whoever ,we need new players and their are enough of trading that can be done if you have the people to do it.

I'm afraid we don't. We lack players and we lack scouters and we lack techincal managers. This is a disgrace a team as big as Liverpool is relying on one legitimate striker. Kenny should be screaming for more players.

Anyone who watched the Blackpool vs Scum today would see what a classy footballer Adam is. The stand out player for me today, he made an alonso type pass in the second half to Varney was unbelievable.

Snap him up KD!!

We wont get Suarez now and Adams is not a game changer for us really. Decent player, keeps the ball moving, but a squad guy thats all. If this lads our marquee January signing god help us.

Quality player Adam is, gave United so many problems in set pieces and set up two goals through corner kicks. worth 7m - 8m IMO

not according to the official stats he isn't;

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport....cs.html

according to those stats, dirk kuyt's pass success rate is 72% - this playing on the right of a 4 man midfield for most of the season. by comparison, maxi's on the other side is 83% + (probably higher but full stats not available).

once we get rid of kuyt, maybe we really will pass and move teams off the pitch again week-in week-out and perhaps we'll win something again. (just out of interest - and bearing in mind he's now 30 - what has a team with dirk kuyt in ever WON before? - coincidence?)

ps. love that kuyt falling over the ball is credited as the '31st pass' in a 31-pass move leading to our third goal on saturday. pure comedy!
we've only won it 5 times

Fergie doing his bit to talk Adam's fee up. 'Those corner kicks alone are worth 10m'.

Well Charlie Adam has just cost LFC it's record of League Championchips. Manure will now overtake us at the end of the season. Adam supposedly played well 1st half but question marks about his "tracking back" in the second and that lot score 3.

Tounge firmly in cheek but hey..maybe a suggestion as to why he is valued at half of some 17year old Southampton kid.

Adam is capable of changing a game more than most of our players. And he wouldn't be a squad player - he would start most games because he is better than most of our midfielders. "Keeps the ball moving" is one hell of an under statement. I have no idea what you are looking at when Adam is playing.

It's disappointing we haven't bought any new players with 6 days to go. I can't understand why most teams leave it until the last day.

On other words, he tired in the second half like the rest of his team mates. I would hardly put alll the blame on him for the defeat. And what is his valuation? Seems everyone has a different one.
