I do believe Suarez can play in the hole?  I heard its his best position...

The problem is how do we fit all the players into a system?  Surely thats a nice little to have though?

Plus there is the small issue of actually having more than one quality striker at the club.   :shifty

More pertinently - does this mean the trip to sign Suarez has failed and we need to hold on to an attacking player, in case noone else comes in?  Hope not.

look at his goals, saurez is an out an out striker, not a wide man

if you get saurez you gotta play 442......you cant play 442 with kuyt and maxi as wide men, they aint good enough.

then our centre will be loads weaker too

id rather get ashley young for 18 million and maybe another wide man, rather than a player which will mean we have to play 442, with the wrong players

That's why Kenny is the gaffer and not little homo!

Kenny won't be half as rigid with the team. The players will be allowed to press and defend at the right times. A fluid frontline and breakers from midfield at different times makes it much harder for teams to set up against us.

ok so lets say suarez comes and our forward 6 is

kuyt....gerrard.....morieles......maxi

........torres.......suarez

means gerrard has to playing holding mid.....the rest dont have enough tricks, flair, creativity, guile and pace to supply two great strikers and plus you then lose gerrard as a great attacking midfield goalscorer

would be pointless, like when we played 442 with hodgson

What do we need to do to get rid of Babel!  First Birmingham, then helicopters on deadline day and now Hoffenheim/Ajax and he appears to be staying!

No, I think we'll stick to the favoured 4-3-3

              Lucas
  Gerrard            Meireles

  Kuyt                  Suarez
             Torres

If we were to sign Suarez then I would see him fit perfectly into a 4-2-3-1 formation as part of the 3 alongside Gerrard and Meireles.

I think that we would need to strengthen the CM position with a more combative/mobile player than Poulson of that formation was to work.

So I assume then that whilst Babel wants to go to Ajax that they do not want him.
Hope it doesn't affect our Suarez chances.

Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish has said that Ryan Babel will be staying at Anfield.

The Dutch winger was thought to be on his way to Hoffenheim after the German club had a bid accepted and the player underwent a medical.

He also appeared to be willing to be used as a makeweight in a deal involving Ajax star Luis Suarez's move to Merseyside, with the 24-year-old going in the opposite direction back to his former club.

Despite the rumours however, it appears that the Dutchman will be staying at the club for the foreseeable future, although Dalglish did not explain the timeframe of how long he could remain at the Reds.

When asked about the transfer of Babel, which could have an impact on the Reds signing Uruguayan star Suarez, the Scot was typically canny and blunt in his response.

"He's staying here," he said.

Adam bid
The club have also been heavily linked with Blackpool midfielder Charlie Adam, and had a bid turned down for him on Friday rumoured to be in the region of around £4million.

Dalglish told the Sky Sports cameras on Saturday following their 3-0 win over Wolves that he had no business to discuss with anyone, and he was sticking to that point, whilst claiming that they would deal with any transfers in a respectful manner.

"I've said before, when we've got some business to discuss, we will discuss," he added.

"We've said that we will try and adopt the way of Liverpool Football Club, certainly one of our ways is to be respectful to other club, and certainly players at other clubs.

"The most important thing we have is the ones at our football club, not somebody else's players."

clueless fools

suarez plays for ajax as their main striker

you dont get 49 goals in a season playing left forward in a 4231

we will play 4-4-2

and we will fail unless we have quality wide men.
