We must have something lined up anyways.  Babel wouldnt have been sold if someone else wasnt gonna come in.

I can understand FSG not wanting to pay inflated prices but fact is in todays market if you go for a top player then there is a good chance you will pay over the odds, to what extent depends. But the fact is he is in his last year of contract right? So all we need is for him to dig his heels in the ground and say he won't negotiate with anyone else and will leave for free if they don't accept our bid. That's of course assuming he actually wants to come here and not just follow wherever the £££ takes him.

I thought he had 2.5 years left on his current contract.

I read just last week he had around a year and that in the summer the fee shouldn't be more than around £13Mil.

Sky sports news mate

Liverpool are reported to be looking at a deal worth €15million, possibly with Ryan Babel included but that is obviously still some way short of Ajax's potential valuation.

Suarez has two-and-a-half years left on his current deal, but has previously been quoted this month as saying he is ready to leave.

Fk it, just pay them what they want. Id rather spunk a load of money on him than spend 10mil or whatever on that Lukaku who migth even flop, hes so young.

People make a great deal of his goalscoring record at Ajax but bear in mind that Dirk Kuyt was like the Alan Shearer of Feyenoord in his time there, while Ryan Babel was blitzing up at Ajax and being touted as the new Henry. I do find it rather odd, too, that those who make that argument are the same people who play down Darren Bent's goalscoring record, despite the Premier League being of a vastly superior standard to the Eredivisie.

.
I'd rather compare him to the dutch league goal machine that was Ruud Van Horseface ;)

Well worth a shout IMO

Someone mentioned it earlier about Ronaldinho, if we could get him, I wouldnt complain at all. As for Suarez, I have to admit, I know sod all about him. Aside from us, is there any other club being linked with him? if not, then why is his tag so high?

Tottenham and Chelsea want him

I think Suarez would be a very good signing for us, from what I've seen he looks like the beez neez

Ohhh right. That explains his price then. We should go all out to get him then. We need another striker, and one that is a talent to either partner Torres or at least to let Torres know if he doesnt perform, we have other options.

We can't sell konchesky till the summer, as he has already played for 2 clubs this season :(
.

Can the players, supporters, managment and staff ignore him until he thinks hes a ghost and goes away?
