We can't sell konchesky till the summer, as he has already played for 2 clubs this season :(
.

i thought it was 3 clubs as in you can only play for a max of 3 clubs in any one season.

thought they did it that way due to loan deals for players some thing like this; parent club playes the player then 2 x 6 month loan deals to 2 different clubs in the same season??

i might be wrong??

If we could fill only one position it has to be another top notch forward. We are far too reliant on Torres and to a lesser extent Stevie..

Personally that Uraguyan chap (Suarez) is not ever going to cut it in this league, he is too lightweight.

We need the type of player that most of us dont want, another Toshack if you will. A big powerful centre forward who can head it, finish and most importantly hold the ball up. We are so poor away from home because we simply cannot keep the ball when we break up attacks.

There are a few out there who would do a job, Carlton Cole for one. I know a lot of people will scoff at this but he is the type of player need..

My preference is Carroll... but i doubt we would get him.

Has anyone mentioned Negredo? He has apparently dropped to 3rd choice at Sevilla, but he still contributes a decent number of goals, is a good header of the ball, and is another option for taking free kicks.  His fall from favour in Spain might mean he would be more reasonably priced and he is still only 25. Worth a thought.

We need a minimum of 3 players just to stop the rot. A centre half, left midfielder, and a centre forward. Surely they wont let the window pass by without doing something the way its going. We are absolutely terrible. Even loans will do just to patch the holes up because that sides in tatters.

Suarez isnt lightweight at all.
He is small but stocky enough and strong.
Similar to Tevez i think.

Mounir El Hamdaoui from Ajax???

not bad, not sure how much he would cost but would play well in a 4-4-2 set up.

left back? well i have always like Liam Ridgewell, poor sod was wasted at Aston Villa for many years.

did we put a bid in for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain or was that just paper talk?

Is Aqua being sold officially? If it does and I think NESV will just keep the money. I have a feeling that NESV will not be buying anyone in this Window. Hope I'm wrong. :(

Well if you believe the press and the rumour mills this morning KK and Commolli have their eye on as many as 4 new signings.

Any 4 from Suarez, A.Young, Gervinho, N'Zogbia, SWP, Obinnha, Hazard, Elia, Lukaka and some dutch LB who's name I cannot be arsed trying to write down.

Is this insightful journalism or purely someone scouring all the various rumour mills and pulling together a list of who we have ben linked with for a while??? Me thinks the latter.

It has been suggested that Steven Warnock may return on loan with a view to a permanent move in the summer - yes please :)

OUT  definately should be:

Poulsen + Lucas :- They keep giving the ball away, have no ability to pass creatively/ put strikers in on goal, or lay good balls off down the wing, create no chances and can't shoot on target when going forward.

Meireles: has no creativity, cant create chances, can only pass side to side, is 'average' by todays standards, and is nowhere near the class of xabi Alonso.

Kuyt: can't cross the ball, always goes for goal and misses badly instead of putting in torres, can only play short passes, no creativity.

N'gog: scores the odd goal, but not worthy of polishing robbie fowlers boots, doesn't do a lot in posession of the ball, not a good team player/ partner for torres, reserve team class at best.

Kyriakos (cant spell name, sorry). not a good tackler, loses posession, gets skinned easily, prefer skrtel and agger.

Konchesky: (See above) + no pace.

those players i would not see again in a red shirt, as all the games I have seen this season, the above problems always cost us winning the game. Completely sick of it.

Watch v everton and you will see what i mean.

IN would be:

Carroll (newcastle) - Pacy, good in the air, great potential, good partner for torres.

Alonso (on loan) if possible.

Gareth Bale (Spurs) for the wing.

Emile Heskey......................JOKE!

Aston Villa step up their
chase for Wigan defender Maynor FigueroaBy Sportsmail Reporter Last updated at 2:56 AM on 15th January 2011
Comments (0) Add to My Stories Aston Villa are intensifying their efforts to sign Maynor Figueroa after clearing the way for Stephen Warnock to return to Liverpool on loan.
Warnock has fallen out of favour under Gerard Houllier at Villa Park and is considering an opportunity to solve Liverpool's left-back problem by rejoining them for the rest of the season.

Wouldn't surprise me if this deal went through as Houllier was not a fan of Warnock and sent him on loan to Coventry when he was here. The move would make sense as would give us an instant upgrade on Kochesky although my personal preference is still Aurelio for the LB slot. Warnock is a solid little player although not as good as some LFC fans think he is. Hope it happens.
