Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Report in today's media :

  ''WIGAN CHASE LIVERPOOL MIDFIELDER
Press Report 14 October 2004

Out of favour Croatian Igor Biscan is a target for Latics boss Paul Jewell.

Biscan has failed to establish himself at Anfield since arriving during the Gerard Houllier era.

The Croatian initially played in midfield but did have a run of games at centre half last season.

He has yet to feature under new boss Rafael Benitez though and looks surplus to requirements. end''

Keep your figures crossed, we might get some money for him !!
I'll bet he can sure eat his quota of Pies !!

Maybe if Igor actualy plays one complete game at a new club he might get a start for his country but I hope he doesn't because he's garbage.

You never know, he might make a bloody good Rugby League player. He always looked good at bringing opposition players down at Anfield. the only man to tackle players outside the box and give penalties away.

I can remember David O'Leary on the box saying when he was at Leeds he rec'd a tape of Igor that his agent had sent - apparently he was offered to everyone.  DOL commented "I didn't see anything that interested me".

Boy oh boy, old GH did make some classics.  Did he cost us £7M?

I think it was £4/£5m, but whatever, it was a sure-fire waste of money.
We will be lucky to sell him to Wigan for £400k/£500k, they will probably wan't him on a loan.
If we carry on this way, we will own half the players in the Football Leagues !!

I agree, Houllier was not a good business man and we payed the price for it. Rafael Benitez is a much better business man, he has an eye for talent imo.

Got to agree about Liverpool FC and big money. I live in Glasgow and the word was that Liverpool were prepared to pay £25m for Larrson, but he wanted a year or two in the sun at Barcelona.
They do appear to waste money. Celtic turned Cisse down as not good enough a replacement for Larrson.
Rangers are not going to pay anything for Vignal, he is going back at the end of the season.
