i'm sorry....but the guy cost 5 million, earned 25k a week and played :censored: for 3 years!  2 or 3 games don't make up years of rubbish....good riddence!

At last, a voice of reason in a sea of sentimentality  :D

Igor Biscan was an expensive flop and the only reason he achieved so called cult status was his demenour on the pitch i.e. he never smiled and looke lost which he frequently was ! :Oo:

Fair enough he didn't moan like some players when not picked and thats to his credit but as regards ability he is way behind the standard we require  ???

Hiya Kewell.

Like ALL ex LFC Players I wish the lad well but lets stop kissing his :censored: by pretending he was a good buy when we patently was not.

thing is about Biscan a lot of people on here didn't have to pay good money to watch him play ??? I have watched him throughout his LFC career and can count on on ehand the amount of decent games he had !

great point.  I live in essex and would  drive a 8 hour round trip to watch my team.  Igor  would  9 times out of 10 be awful!  He should have been sold years ago (and the fact we couldn't sell him proves) but he's no good.

I wish the guy well in his career.....but i'm not sorry he's gone.

what's next, the Vlad smicer 'good bye' thread  :D

Ay, he gave us some match winning performances in the biggest cup competition ever and the best two nights of my life. He deserves all the credit he gets.

The thing is with so many fans they call these players fit to burn during the time they ARE playing for LFC then want to elevate them on their departure ........ :Oo:

Like I said I wish the lad well but I'm pleased that LFC and Rafa in particular has made the decision to allow him to leave ....

He gave me many a miserable night as well Stu ....

Its all relative I suppose and i'm not wanting to lay into the player , just giving my honest opinion on his TOTAL career at LFC and not just the couple of games he actually performed in !  :D

The right decision letting him go with Sissoko coming in, but wish the lad the best of luck at Panathinaikos. He will always be remembered fondly in my eyes, and if he returns to Anfield with Panathinaikos I am sure he will get a great reception.

IGOR IGOR IGOR! :D

Goodbye, Igor. Wish you all the best in your future career.

Never really good enough but showed glimpses of quality in the few occassions Benithez played him. It's sometimes funny how another manager can coax extra performance from the same player singed by his predecessor but never delivered under the very same manager who bought him. Same for Traore.

How's it funny?

We should be grateful for having such a talented manager in that aspect.

I don't mean funny as in hilarious but funny as more in ironic.

What perhaps I should have said was that the very fact that your immediate successor can get the same guy to play much better than you (who recognised that his talents and bought him to improve your squad) could not even get him to perform to your expectations, but here comes another bloke who caoxed this very player to perform better. In short this is the ultimate proof that Benithez's successor is less competent in man-management as his own signing (and a few others) performed poorly under him but was transformed somewhat under Benithez.

If I had said this, I risk infuriating some of the people who loved/idolised (or whatever) Houllier and would diss me off as someone who knows nothing about football. I don't hate Houllier, I just believe that he is not a good man-manager and he is a worse tactician. He took us as far as his limited abilities allowed him to do and Benithez, like Maurinho, is the young managers who are very intelligent and capable as proven by their successes at their previous clubs.

Igor was always viewed as a player that never fullfilled his potential because for us as fans, we couldn't know because he was playing out of position all the time. So, now, he played great in a couple of important games and people finally thought what if we played him at his natural position? He acted professionally but I think I would too if I'm on his wages (Heck, most of you would too). But we served us well at least from the point of view that he didn't create any trouble. Anyway, good luck to him and let the legacy lives on!
