In my opinion we need another midfielder because Hamman isn't getting any younger and Biscan isn't good enough (has played one good game, isn’t gonna be consistent) and we want Gerrard and Alonso to have to fight for there place, specially when we have more than one game in the week so they can be rested

Jim the last thing we need is more argueing on this forum. I'd leave it there mate before it gets out of hand. We respect your opinion & yes, your right, we slated Biscan when he was cr@p and to be fair, he still is cr@p, but we recognise when he has a good game and we congratulate him & thank him for his hard work for our club & long me he continue to try his little socks off.

I say keep Igor as I would like to see him develope futher under Rafa. He might not be the best but he is adequate cover and always give his all.
Sell Hamann in exchange for Roy Makaay if at all possible...although I have no complain if he choose to stay.

Listen in fairness to Biscan, I think he's been doing well since pre-season. Last nights game wasn't a flash in the pan. I seem to remember a lot of people mentioning how good Igor was playing in the States during pre-season. Granted he's no Gerrard or Alonso but he was pretty damn impressive last night and if he keeps that level of perfomance up we'd be daft to let him go. As for people saying we already have Hamann for cover. Thats just daft, you need 2 players for every position, at least, so with two centre mid berths that equals 4 centre-mids. I know there are a lot of young players coming through but there's a time and a place to give young players a chance and I'm afraid the Champions League is not that place.

The point of course with both Didi & Igor is that you won't get a fee for them as they are out of contract. That is the crux, do you let them walk for zip, or do you throw some more cash in their direction knowing full well that they aren't either first choice or long-term solutions? My hunch is that Diao definately goes, free or not. Igor I'd offer another deal to and Didi, for services to the club I'd let go back to Germany.

LFC needs Biscan as a Sub, good general purpose mid-fielder, no pretentions to becoming a star, but likes coming in to do a job. As long as he can keep his concentration, he can fill a role, holding the line or pushing up. What he lacks in skill, he makes up with his size and presence.
