this thread is no longer answering the question of the topic, so lets lock, just leave it to the Roy thread

we really need to lock this broken record thread

I thought the Thread starter requested that we be honest Daws
well just delivering my honest opinion ...in terms of results the current incumbent can do little to aspire to my image of what a Liverpool manager should be ...or how he should conduct himself
We are world famous Lad for the close relationships we develop with the manager .....surely you can see this is not happening ?
to many bridges burnt in my opinion and all for delectation of the worlds media ...... the general consensus is he should go now before he inflicts more damage .....just being honest for the sake of the thread starters personal ambition for the direction of the thread ....................

Below are two Definitions for the word Enigma
either one would explain my including it in my post in reference to Roy .... choose one Lad..... I like option one personally

1, One that is puzzling, ambiguous, or inexplicable.
2, A perplexing speech or text; a riddle.

I'm not a big fan of Roy Hodgson, but I have a lot of respect towards him because he is the current Liverpool manager, and because besides a difficult job, he had to deal with a lot of turmoil due to twit and :censored:, and IMHO Hodgson can't get the stick that others deserve.

And answering Bigmick's secondary question, in order I become a big fan of Hodgson, the only thing that have to happen are the results. I don't like sacking managers, I like to give him complete seasons. If I see an evolution in the results, I see in the summer that the key players make the right sounds about playing at Liverpool, if I see the club is getting better, I'll have no problems to become a big fan of Hodgson. In the mean time he has my deepest respect.

I was pretty positive when he was assigned manager.
Then a few matches later I wasn't so sure though I see some indication of change that I do like.
After a few wins and a few good performances, maybe he is okay.
The team needed time to gel and maybe like what Gerrard said to better understand what Roy want them to do.
We have a lot of foreigners in the team and unfortunately Roy doesn't speak Spanish.
The way I see it, the league is getting very tight. The top four is finding it harder to beat mid table teams.
I will say it again, this year draws will decide who will win the league. Upsets will be plenty, so as long as we win even when we play ugly football I think it is okay.

Today's upset 1: Bolton 4  - Tottenham 2

I think Hodgson has had enough of severe criticism and calls for his sacking from fans. I was one of them. Now I come to realise that the bloke has done his best he can for Liverpool and the best he can do for Liverpool is to avoid relegation or above mid position table finish. Based on his track record, that is the best he can do and also because of his age, I don't think he is capable of further improving and refining his strategy. He can only do what he's always been doing.

I agree that Roy is not the long term solution to LFC performance in EPL and must be replaced by a manager with the calibre of Ferguson, Ancelotti, Wenger etc in due time. But if we are to point our fingers to who is to blame, I feel the board who appointed Hodgson is also to blame, Hicks and Gillette the 2 bloodsuckers who financially ruined our club are also to blame, David Moores and co who sold the club to them without due diligence are also to blame. Because Roy is at the front line, he gets the brunt of the blame, but the others I mentioned also deserve to be called traitors.

Good to see that some people are actually seeing sense and realising that we can do a lot more good by getting behind RH instead of coming out with a lot of nonsense and calling for him to be sacked!

Not doubt if we don't get a result today the I told you so's will be kicking off again!

Today is a knife edge for Roy.

Win, and we go top 6, lose and the calls for his head will increase.

I bet we draw!!  :D
