It is all about Trophies, imo. Time for some more or else we find someone who can give them to us

I look at Utd and see them being able to buy world class players year after year. They can spend 30Mil on a player year and still have money for other players. We don't have that and until that gap is narrowed I think we will find it hard to be sucessfull in the league. We were good this year but Arsenal and Chelsea were poor. I expect them to strengthen and be strong next year so this summer is vital for us. The owners need to seriously back Rafa in the transfer market and not just for 1 player and then get substandard players for other positions. If we carry on like that it wont be long before the mancs overtake not only our domestic record but also our European record. Im really depressed tonight actually. Cant even be arsed to go out now, going to stay in and watch Eurovision.

Sorry forgot to add until we are able to say we can spend close to what the mancs do I dont think its right for any of us to be making such statements such as 'if we dont win the league soon we will find someone who can'. What makes any of you think someone different can come in and do something better with the same amount of money? Rafa has done well with the money he has but it isnt enough. He needs more.

We have to improve the squad there's no doubt about that but I honestly think we were good enough to win the league this season. 

Rafa mentions the superior spending power of Utd but no mention of his obvious change in tactics.  Rafa had us playing negative, mind numbing football for 2/3 of the season (apart from a handful of games) and once he took off the shackles off we were a new team.  If we had been playing all season with the current mentality I believe we would have won the league.

In saying that the future is looking bright.  If we continue to play next season as we have been for the past few months and add a few quality players I believe  we will win the league within the next two seasons.

Even with not as much money I don't think Rafa is tht smart in the bargain basement deals.

why have Lucas, dossena, N'gog, Elzahar etc, whenyou could have Giovani, Owen, for dirt cheap money or on loan right now.

Yes he has got a few wrong but I think Torres was a bargain as was Alonso and Agger.

And who would want Owen right now? Can he even play sucessive games without injuring himself? I wish people would stop with the Owen delusion. That guy is finished. He will probably return to Liverpool, but will be playing for the other team.
