I think we are missing a real goal scorer. We have a speedy player, a knockdown the ball player and a hard working player but we do not have a great finisher (aside from Robbie as he is not a long term solution). Our strikers will all score goals but I do not feel any of them being world class finishers.

I like Torres.

I have heard that Owen is coming back in the summer. Newcastle are supposed to be buying 2 strikers in the Jan window, and dumping Luque back to Spain ,and Owen is either coming back here or off to Old Trafford.

Its the same mate that told me Simao had definitely signed for us, so I'm not putting the house on it lol.

You can "blame" Phil Thompson for us not signing C.Ronaldo. We were first in for him, Thompson went over to watch him and said "he's not what we are looking for". Not sure who we signed instead.

If money is no object in the summer, I would be looking to sign a world class striker, a right winger, and then a backup for Finnan....I would go for David Villa who would cost about £16m, Wright-Phillips who would cost about £13m, and I would try and nick Micah Richards from Man City for about £5m, one for the future.

Micah Richards "one for the future"? I reckon he's the real deal already and he's gonna get even better. It wouldn't surprise me if some future coach tries to make him into a Centre Back, have you seen the size of him? He's a big, raw boned lad who's definitely in the frame to be Gary neville's long term replacement with England.
We just need to be really positive with our signings, I just hope the sale of the Club doesn't drag on as it could impede Rafa's Summer spending plans.....

The way I heard it was that his transfer was close to being completed, and Man Utd came in and bid twice as much.

C.Ronaldo even says when he got the call that his transfer was complete, he thought it was for Liverpool or something...

We never bid for him after Thompsons scouting report. The Mancs didn't come in for him for a while after. Im not sure but I think the Mancs were still trying to sign Ronaldinho at the time.

i would settle for wright philips to replace pennant, he's quicker than pennant and will get  5 times as many goals. i know he hasn't gelled at chelski but he'd do well for us.

also i thnk miroslav klose would be an ideal partner for bellamy and his pace.

Has been given the green light to leave Bremen in the summer if he wants to aswell. But without being disrespectful, you might not be the kind of club he's after.

i agree with kewell out - maybe not sold, however he needs to go out on loan to prove his worth without hurting the team!
