Sol Campbell deserves an OBE after last nights game - pure brilliant.
Stevie looked tired (but he's still a quality player!), Becks was poor & Erikson hasn't got a clue, a bit like the hustler really.

Time to move on - Reds pre-season.

Ithink last night s matchwas a wake-up call for everyone who is saying that Stevie Gerrard is world-class, or the best midfielder in Europe..... he's not, ut then neither is he ****** just because he had an average tournament. He is only 24 and still has another 4-5 years before he will become the complete footballer

all of the midfield had a realy shocking game beckham has no idea what he is doing.Gerrard was too busy trying to decide what to do about his future(and you could tell), Lampard had a good run in the prem at the end of the season but i would have never played him as he is too selfish as proved in the Croatia game.Scoles had a reasonable game but kept giving the ball away too easily. Hargreaves should not have been used it should have been Joe Cole.Because when you need to unlock a defense i would have banked on him doing it rather than Hargreaves.

Heskey should have replaced Rooney and Uefa need toi look at how they slect ref's for matches as when the countries team is eliminated the ref should go as well.

the final should always be reffed by Collina regardless as he has proved over the years how bloody good he is and that he is actually imparsial.

god if we could only clone him then ref's would not get such a hard time.

And he called me a freak.  :D

Collina must be favourite to ref the final as I think he is retiring very soon.

:D

i think all matches should have video replays for the ref to use at his discression so that any thing like last nights goal or Ronadlo going down after being blown on in the penalty area can be made and be the right decision. Otherwise we are left with nothing but muppets when collina goes. He needs to set up a training program for refs and those card happy tw*ts who ref the prem need to learn how to let a match flow.

agree that video replays should be used to aid referees. if you look at the disallowed goal, the linesman was running back to the half way line. the ref disallowed it from 12 yards away. there was also a shot just before rui costa scored which i think ashley cole cleared off the line, although i thought it had gone over.

They have that in Rugby and it does work to an extent but it also tends to have the referees avoiding making decisions and going to the video ref for easy decisions.

Football flows a lot quicker and video ref would be a difficult thing to implement plus with the tendency of footballers trying to get others booked etc you could have one hell of a lot of stop and starts.

Maybe have it for disallowed goals only but remember Tottis tackle if you were the player wouldnt you try to persuade the ref to go to video??
