League needs to be the priority next season but I hope we manage to build some squad strength so we can give a real go to the EL.

As funny as it is... they've still won more trophies than us and Arsenal combined over the last 4 years  :(

Should Manchester City win the FA Cup and then finish outside the top 4, they would be deemed to have qualified for the Europa League as Cup Winners, rather than via the league route, and the final European place would go to the team finishing sixth in the EPL.

Liverpool Away
Birmingham Home

Liverpool
Newcastle Home
Fulham Away

Villa Away

Current Table

4 Man City 32 16 8 8 +20 56pts
5 Spurs 33 14 13 6 +8 55pts
6 Liverpool 34 15 7 12 +12 52pts

here's an updated table and set of fixtures. Spurs have the worse set of remaining games among the 3 teams while Man City seems to have the easiest. so while 4th place may be a long shot, 5th place is plausible. would be ideal if Man City and Spurs draw when they face each other. and hopefully Everton would show some ambition and actually beat City at home.

as much as I would love to pretend, 4th spot is gone. Man City and Spurs would both need a MASSIVE collapse in form for us to get anywhere near, and even then it would be a long shot.

If the season was a bit longer I reckon we would nab fourth but that's how it goes. It would be a shame not to get any Europe now given the effort that's been put in since Kenny got here
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing

I understand we are going to ask the FA if we can replay the games we had under Hodgson under the Fair Trade Act because Hodgson was impersonating a Top Club manager

4th spot is asking a lot, but beating our Spurs? Not at all.  They play away to chelski, city and us in the remaining games.  That's 9 points I fully expect them to drop, or maybe 8 if they draw city.  We are only 3 points behind and they have an extra game.  We beat them, there goes their extra game.  Points lost and city and chelski and we are ahead of them.

We could very well win the rest of our games.  The game we really have to watch out for is away to Fulham.  Fulham are a b!tch to beat at the cottage.

after re-evaluating the fixtures we have remaining, i won't be surprised if we finished 6th. Villa and Fulham away, Spurs and Newcastle at home. Man City has a really easy run in while Spurs have a game in hand.

We might not get any Europe at all.  Roy left us with far too much to do.
That said, its a great credit to Kenny and the lads that we're even talking of Europe.  If Roy was still here i think we'd have been deligthed to avoid the drop.

But remember, no manager will get more out of this lot than Roy did  :D
