Lets strip away the where and wherefors and take a moment to understand what has happened here.................
Hicks and Gillet have courted someone else for the managers job at Liverpool Football Club with a view to sacking our current manager mid season, something that has never happened at our club ! So much for the traditions of the club hey !
I suppose it's a tad romantic I know to put forward the idea but Sport and business don't mix, ones based on financial gain and the other's a passion not dependent on profit.
All I want from the rest of this season is to know that Benitez will still be there in May irrespective of what we achieve in terms of trophies. In a weird kind of way recent events have took the pressure off Rafa to win games and succeed as it's diverted attention away from him and onto the owners.
I know many of you would still like to put terms and conditions on Benitez but in a starnge kind of way the winning of trophies becomes irrelevant now set against the backdrop of what we now know about the owners ultimate goals !

They really need to break ground on that stadium quickly to have something at least to show the fans. As for Rafa, a win tomorrow is essential for morale. Recent form has been awful and I don't blame Hicks/Gillett for that. But rather the players for not giving enough and the manager for not tearing into teams like Wigan.
Rafa better hope and pray he does something worthwhile in the CL this season and MUST finish at least fouth, otherwise, it's good night and good luck for him I think, because the Prem title looks as distant as ever.

How can anyone operate a happy /confident ship when all this c.rap has been going about him - the clowns will see tonight what Liverpool fans think of them and how much they love OUR RAFA - EUROPEAN CAMPEON -![]()
To think Rafa's been carrying all this and no-doubt the players will have known too, explains a lot about recent results - these ppl have a lot to answer for![]()
As for Rafa 'better this - better that' - right now I don't care what happens as long as Rafa survives these two clowns
Owners’ doubts on Benitez could unsettle star players

If our players really want to help Rafa, they should start playing as if they are star players.
Instead of losing concentration and letting Titus Frickin Bramble get the better of them.

Even if we did not have new owners this still would be going (looking for a new manager) but we would not know about it.
Rafa is not having a good year.

They are professionals. When defending a corner they should be capable enough to not start thinking about Tom Hicks or George Gillett.
