I'm not sure I agree with that.
I think Hicks has shown a level of ruthlessness which I kinda like.
If they get the finances for the stadium and new players in place, I don't mind them being cut-throat with anyone they think isn't taking the club forward in terms of results.
The "dictator" model is the best one for football.
It's not 'ruthlessness' though, it's unprofessional, naive and disrespectful conduct. You don't directly approach another manager with an 'insurance' type of deal, when the incumbent is trying to build his own team. If you can't COMMUNICATE with your manager, DO NOT PURCHASE A FOOTBALL CLUB. To then make these facts known publicly, with the club and Rafa being hounded by the press as it is, is just ridiculous.
There is no defence.
