Hicks we had klinnsmann lined up for the job

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby destro » Mon Jan 14, 2008 7:19 pm

I have heard this story all day on the radio and to me it tells me all I need to know about G and H. They will happily reply to the reports regarding Klinsman but yet they still refuse to come out and back Rafa. If their reply was to make them look honest as though they have nothing to hide then they failed miserably just like they have with the running of OUR club. They have been found out again and desperately tried and failed to excuse their behaviour.

And to think at the time I and probabley many others were actually pleased that  DIC were turned down as our new owners and that we went with G and H, now it looks like we could well go back to them cap in hand ( although not directly).

Gutted for Rafa and I for one wouldn't blame him if he walked now, although I am hoping his love for the club and the fans will help him through this cr@p time and he is still there when and if the hopefully new owners take over.  :sniffle

Rafa blurting out in public against the yanks has obviously contributed to that.

But Klinsman??

Anyhows, I dont think we will get to the final of the champions league this season, as 3 seasons out of 4 is very tall order.

But if we finish out of the top 4, Rafa is definately gone, I'll bet anyone.

its not the fact we aren't winning the league, just that we are not even close. we not even close to finishing 2nd FFS.

So pull yer socks up.

DIC must be looking at this and have a cheeky smile.  We screwed them out of a deal when in principle it was all agreed and now a few months later the club looks in turmoil.

1) Don't try and turn this into a 'Rafa brought it on himself' debate. The conduct of the yanks is unacceptable. That is the issue here.

2) How exactly did we screw DIC out of a deal? They imposed a deadline, Moores rejected the deal for this reason.

It's the kind of thing I'd expect from Mancs.

Although I disagree that Klinsmann would have been the right replacement, I do like the fact that Hicks and Gillett were preparing for the worst and had a plan in place.

Rafa has to deliver now.

1) I agree - no need for it. Unacceptable.

2) I disagree - Rafa has constantly re-iterated his desire to stay with us. Hicks shouldn't have come out in public like he did. His comments provide the tabloid media wth even more ammunition with which to attack Rafa. It was a naive error.

This "campaign" of LFC fans against the Yanks, is a little unfair.

is it their fault that we drew V middlesborough?
is it their fault that we drew V Wigan?
is it their fault that we drew with Man city?

rafa and the players should take some flak

Hicks and Gillette, have given Rafa a lot of money, and are expecting results!

That's not the issue.

Is it? This meeting with Jurgen was in November.

Does anyone else think they have let this become public,to try and force Rafa to walk so they dont have to pay any compo? The way its gone the last couple of months its as if they`re desperately under-mining him, trying to make him snap and quit.

This coming out now, makes them  look like the slimey kunts that they are and also must make Benitez feel like a kunt. Fu.ck off and take that clown Parry with you.

A lot of money? Are you stoned? practically all they gave was 20 million for Torres and the rest was generated through sales of other players. Contrary to what the press tells us, Torres did not cost us 26 million or whatever it was reported to be, I can't remember the amount.

Those two b@stards have generated an ill atmosphere  at the club that's obviously having some sort of effect on the manager and players. They lied to us when the promised the Earth for the club, and told us that Rafa was their man for the job. They promised almost any player Rafa desired, and when Rafa came knocking, what did they do? Practically told the man to f*ck off. So f*ck them and f*ck anyone who takes their side or even tries to understand where they are supposedly coming from.

This is what they said when they took over

“Liverpool is a fantastic club with a remarkable history and a passionate fan base. We fully acknowledge and appreciate the unique heritage and rich history of Liverpool and intend to respect this heritage in the future. The Hicks family and the Gillett family are extremely excited about continuing the Club’s legacy and tradition."

Since when has it been the Clubs "Legacy and tradition" to treat the Manager like sh1t, stab him in the back, undermine him and try to make him walk away from a job he obviously loves ?

Not only did they say no when RAFA came knocking for money but they said no when he wanted to sell players to raise funds for players and they even said no when he wanted to get players on bossmans . In other words they said NO when he asked to be allowed to do his job and manage . so IMHO g&h are responsible for our lack of form lately not RAFA who's hands were tied and should be praised for the dignified way he handled himself through what would have been a terrible situation for any manager to find himself in.
