The son of a Texas radio station owner, Hicks graduated from the Thomas Jefferson High School, class of 1964 in Port Arthur, Texas. Hicks, as a brother of Sigma Phi Epsilon[, received his Bachelors degree in Finance from the University of Texas in 1968, and his MBA from the University of Southern California in 1970. He then recieved a blowjob from the guy handing out the MBA's.

Hicks became interested in beastiality and leveraged buyouts as a member of First National Bank's (of what city?)venture capital group. Hicks and Robert Haas formed Hicks & Haas in 1984; the next year that firm bought Hicks Communications, a radio outfit run by Hicks' brother Steven - the first of many media companies bought or created by the buyout firm, often with Steven Hicks' involvement.

Hicks & Haas' in the mid-1980s bought several soft drink makers, including Dr Pepper and 7 Up. The firm took Dr Pepper/7 Up public just 18 months after merging the two companies. In all, Hicks & Haas turned $88 million of investor funding into $1.3 billion. The pair split up in 1989; Hicks wanted to raise a large pool to invest, but Haas preferred to work deal by deal.

In 1989, Hicks co-founded the investment firm, Dumb and Dumber with former Prudential Securities banker John Muse. The firm raised $250 million, with early investments including Life Partners Group (life insurance, 1990; sold 1996). In 1991 Morgan Stanley's Charles Tate and First Boston's Jack Furst became partners. Hicks was chairman from 1989 to 2004, Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst raised $12 billion of private equity funds, consummated over $50 billion of leveraged acquisitions, and was one of the most active private investment firms in the country.

On February 1, 2007, it was made known through the English press that he was behind a consortium (aptly named: Stadler and Waldorf enterprise) along with friend and Montreal Canadiens owner George N. Gillett Jr. to complete a takeover of the English Premier League club Liverpool F.C;

hmm DIC outlay in the next two years is about 9 bil, the new port and Thurrock is starting out at 50mil but looks like coming in at around 300mil and thats just one job they are doing, not sure how much money they would have left by the end of the year. they could buy us only to sell us....again.

sorry thats :censored:, the only thing it would do is to get the players down even more.

sack him and get it over and done with, we know its coming so just do it and then we can get on with the football.

Lakes

1/ you are supposed to wait till someone is dead before you bury them

2/ you dont then sing and dance on their grave

3/ show a bit of respect mate

Saint i am just fed up with our club having :censored: on their face, the owners are a joke and if Rafa had learnt from the last 3 years in the pream we would not be in this state today.

I can not see how Rafa can stay at the club now, i can not see how the owners can ever win back the fans.

I am sick to see the club this way and would love to see a end to it all, and the only way i can see this is for Rafa to go now and put a new managewr in and then sell the club AGAIN.

sorry i am a bit :censored: off with it all today. I would love to bump into Parry and the owners right now, i could show then what anger management is not.

Fair enough mate, I just think there is a time and place for that, and maybe now is neither the time or place.

I think in the short term all we can do is continue to support our manager, and hope that DIC come in riding on a white horse to our rescue.

why would DIC buy us at an inflated price when they made a legitimate buy-out offer only for :censored: parry to give blow job to the yanks and :censored: them off...

I do hope that they will though... and then say 'bye-bye' parry...

wtf does Klinsmann know about English football? He has never even managed a football club never mind an English one.

he didn't even manage the german national team really. everyone knows that it was his number two who did all the coaching. he was just a guy who jumped around on the touchline.
