Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

NANNY RED wrote:Well im off to work to make some money thats gonna pay for my trip to Moscow that Raffa has got us to, thus making the club how many millions. Not bad for a s.hit manager

spot on nr, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but
i have to say some of the comments on here are
totally missing the point! ffs we are on the verge
of another champions league final, & all i"m reading
is negitive sh1t! all i would say at this point is that
when i heard the words " lfc is a brand" it made my
fecking blood boil, the interview on ssn was a fecking
insult to fans intelligence, i don"t trust the yank tw@ts
for a second, also imho rick parry has a fecking lot to
answer for! if people want a clearout in the summer
lets start with the ( 3 stooges as emerald red )
had as part of his avitar! spot on for me.
lets just focus on the remaining games we have
left in this season & then put all this behind us.
in the last few weeks i think raffa & the players
have been a credit to this club i love, & have
focused on what is the up most importance factor
at this moment in time - the performance on the pitch
& getting the results we need!!
was anyone"s priority about the yanks when
we played arsenal etc i doubt it very much!
it certainly wasn"t mine, for all i want to see a
conclusion for the feck up"s behind the scenes
for me at this moment in time, i just want 3 points
in all our remaining games, & hopefully a 6th europian
cup to go with it!
as i say everyone on here is entitled to their opinions
so if you don"t agree with me, so be it,but one thing
is for sure i will never stop loving this great club
but just think there are people who know nothing
about our history etc, when they claim they do.
and are the real problem, not raffa.

Who said they weren't important?  Not me.  What I'm saying here however is that your view that they are more important than a very public civil war between the owners is ridiculous.  Is a manager that repeatedly selects Dirk Kuyt really a bigger concern than an owner that lies to supporters?  You're living in cloud cuckoo land if you think it is.

What I can't fathom is how you can be so glib about the threat Hicks poses to the club.  As you never fail to remind us, you're Scouse and you've been going the game since long before most on here (even if you haven't been in years...a little fact you seem to glide right over whenever you get in wind-up mode).  So, tell me, how can a such a long-standing supporter of Liverpool Football Club place so much importance on the manager's team selection at a time when the owners are engaging in an unseemly and very public power struggle that jeopardizes both the good name of the club and the very nature of its operations--including its capacity to put a winning football team on the pitch?  How can you be so dismissive of the concerns most people justifiably have about the owners and insist that Rafa's the real problem?  It just boggles the mind that you, as a lifelong supporter, can't see the bigger picture here.  Shameful. :no

well obviously you know f*ck all about the city and the club, its a football club bob, are you saying mid table every season with no trophies every season will be ok as long as we have a nice owner?

like i say bob, actually go to a game, see what its all about, and then try and tell me the football is not important. (and yes i have been the past 5 years, i do visit the UK you know, how sad for you, even since i left i have been more than you)

what would you rather have at the end of this season, hicks still here and we win the champions league, or hicks gone and we win nothing? i suspect you will answer the first one so don't tell me the ownership is more important than the football.

so when you ask how a long standing supporter can place so much importance on team selection, i will tell you its because we are  football club first and foremost. tell you what bob, why don't we just quit playing until its all sorted out? oh i know why, its because we are a football club

There's not much more that can really be said about this complete and utter kunt that hasn't already been said. I haven't seen anything as staged as that interview since the last time the circus came to town.

There can be no denying though that what he says about Coco is true but then again they are the only true words that have come out of his mouth since the day he climbed down off his horse and dirtied the Anfield carpets with the bullshit on his cowboy boots. I mean what was that cr@p about having a proven track record of being a successful sports team owner!!  ???  He clearly lives in cloud cuckoo land:-

Welcome to HICKSville

1) You'll Never Walk Alone
2) pass and move is the Liverpool groove
3) FIRST WILL ALWAYS BE FIRST AND SECOND WILL ALWAYS BE NOTHING.
4) If Torres has scored 60 league goals for Liverpool by the start of the 2011/12 season, I'll say he's better than Owen.

Answer the question, would you rather have another champions league win and finishing 4th with Hicks as sole owner or finish 5th and get knocked out by Chelsea but DIC buying the club??  :p

alls I've heard over the last 6 months or so are that Torres and Mascherano are Benitez' best buys (certainly most expensive)...can somebody tell me who was the owners when these two arrived? I'm not looking to support or praise the yanks, my feelings towards them BOTH are well known, but some people think the enitre club has gone to pot since they took over, and the truth is, it hasn't. There have been a few good things since they took over, probably overshadowed by the bad, but not everything has gone wrong.

Actually id prefer to see us win the champs league, against utd no less, and to finish as high up in the league. And of course for the backroom problems with the owners to be sorted out any which way that would benefit the club. Whatever solution that may be.
