Hicks on sky sports. - Claims he is buying the club outright!

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I've got to admit that I was starting to listen to  Hicks a bit, just because I want this mess to be over.  But now I've come to my senses and I can see that he is the :censored: devil.  This guy cannot be trusted, he's using every dirty trick to get the supporters on his side.    I just hope that no one else here has had a change of heart.

Got to agree with them , they shud maximise and squeese as much as possible .

That is the only fact that has came out of his mouth since he came to LFC.Its hardly new news, the fans have known for years we should be more global in merchandising.

Hicks has known this since he came, hes in effect Parrys boss its up to him to pull Parrys strings,Parry is not solely to blame.

Besides with all the uncertainty arround the club, selling more LFC jerseys in Asia or elsewhere is hardly a priority right now.
There are much more important issues closer to home that need dealt with before we even think about selling teacups, polo shirts, baby bibs etc. to people thousands of miles away!

The PR people at Hicks and Co will be happy you have fallen for it lad.

not me mate, all 3 of them can go, H&G and Rafa.
I feel a bit sick that he seems to be of Hicks side.

What ?

Rafa seems to have taken Hicks side due to finding out that he will get to keep his job for another year.

What the fck are you on? Look we all know that Parry is useless, and all the while they sh!t is flying the manager is trying to win football matches and prepare for the future, so whether he likes Hicks or not, Rafa has to try and get on with the one owner who it seems is available to speak to, the other, Gilette, has spent the last few monthes trying to sell up, so the only port of call he probably has with any power is Hicks, Parry being useless, Moores powerless. If there is any co-operation it because ther has to be, otherwise the whole place falls apart, for example the signings of Skrtel and Mascherano had to be sanctioned.

What a complete load of bullsh1t that was, I watched it this morning while getting ready for work. That clip of him sat in his :censored: home cinema watching the Blackburn game with his family all dressed in their Liverpool tops that some people are struggling to buy ? It made me feel sick watching it, I am sure they all had strings attached to them that were pulled like puppets when we scored  just so it looked like they knew what to do when they all jumped up cheering !!

It was obvious to me when the whole Parry resigning thing was first mentioned by Hicks that he was trying to get the majority vote in the boardroom, with Parry out of the way he would have it, then he goes on to say how he wants to offer Raffa a whole one year extension ! well whoopee :censored: doo, for the job he has done despite the fact you cant keep your :censored: mouth shut for one minute he should be at Liverpool for life you :censored:.

Sell up now to D.I.C then take your millions of pounds profit and :censored: off back to America

'When it appeared we were in danger of not advancing in the Champions League, we were not playing well in the Premier League and there were communications issues between Rafa and ourselves over the January window, George and I met Jurgen Klinsmann to learn as much as we could about English and European football,' he said.

'He is a very impressive man. We attempted to negotiate an option with him as an insurance policy, to have him become our manager in the event of Rafa leaving for Real Madrid or any other of the clubs rumoured in the UK press, or in case our communication problems spiralled out of control, for some reason. We never reached an agreement on an option, and we are pleased for him that he has an opportunity to return to Germany and coach a great club team.

'After George and I had a long and productive meeting with Rafa, following the United match, we put all our issues behind us and received a commitment from Rafa that he wanted to stay. Rafa has the support of both of us, and our communication has greatly improved.'

BTW I agree wholeheartedly with Ciggy. Hicks should f.off

Thats's just utter b ull of hi!cks , seriously , DIC better come in if they really want the lcub , if not we're in deep sh!te. If we are to be owned by either of the 2 , i rather be owned by gillete , H1cks and parry can take their d!cks and get the hell outta this club

We suffered in the summer when we had to wait to make signings (who knows who we lost out on?) We suffered at Christmas when Rafa wanted to sign players on a Bosman and wasn't allowed to.

IF he removes the debt
IF the new stadium ever gets built
IF Rafa is allowed to sign the players he wants

Maybe then I might be willing to listen, but personally I don't believe a word he says.

Spot on, S@int.

And apparently, one of the signings Rafa missed out on was Alves for 12m. The contract was there ready to be signed and a done deal, but from what I heard, Coco tore it up. Now what's he estimated going for again? 27 or there abouts?

Good point saint , another signing that we missed out is simao , he stepped off the plane and was headed to melwood when his price went up by 1 or 2 million , i think parry refused to pay and the rest is history .

Whats wrong with that? Where is the mistake?

The fee was known so he was called over then he had to up it by 2 million to pay for the freakin´ taxi from Speke to Melwood??

Parry was right, we dont get taken for a ride.

A lot of this has probably been said - sorry no time to read the entire thread! A few questions? Why just blame the Americans and especially Hicks - Man U don't seem to have a problem and I am sure we can all remember the displays of dissatisfaction  by the fans when the Glazier's first arrived - are the fans bothered now? Parry it would appear has failed to act in the best interests of the club on a number of occasions, twice when a certain key player nearly went to Chelsea - once after we had won the CL partly because the club were so slow to finalise or enter contract negotiations. Was Parry involved in Steve McManaman's £12.5m transfer to Barca in 97/98 that fell through because of allegedly excessive wage demands - the following year McManaman went on a free to Real Madrid. Was Parry involved in Michael Owen's exit to Real Madrid for £8.5m plus Nunez who was poor at best and valued at £1.5m but worth a lot less! Real Madrid then sold Owen a year later to Newcastle for £16m. How good is Rafs's record - 1 point (Oshea own goal) from our last 9 matches against United is a disgrace in itself if we really do expect to win the Premiership. If Harry Kewell and Steve Finnan hadn't been injured against AC Milan would Rafa still be at Anfield?
Net Spend Over The Last 5 Years 20/21 to 24/25  (10 years
are in brackets 15/16 to 24/25 )
LFC €300m (€420m)
Everton +€33m (€211m)
Arsenal €557m (€853m)
Spurs €571m (€684m)
Chelsea €945m (€1051m)
Man City €370m (€1038m)
Man United €687m (€1240m)

Itandje, Voronin, Kewell, Riise, and Pennant   :D

Edit - doubt it would be Kewell. Who else would be stupid enough to pay his 60k a week sick notes?
