Well to be honest i feel kind of sorry for him but he certainly has somewhat ruined the side a bit. I think he bring's in too many player's who are just average and not championship winning material.

If he were to be replaced i think the only man to take the hot-seat would be none other than Martin O'Neil, i think he would be able to take our quality player's, make them work better together plus add to it with a few better player's. I honestly think Houllier should do what's best for him and resign before he dig's our team into hole so big we cant get out. Dont get me wrong i will support Liverpool through thick and thin but it would be heart breaking for me to watch my side turn into a mid table team and i think that's the direction he is taking us, however i think we should make him feel proud that he has managed us and give him a warm leaving so to speak once he does eventually leave which i think will be at the end of this campaign, any longer will be milking it!

I for one am proud at what he's done for us.

Welcome aboard Kop-1892.
GH has made some impact on the club during his five year stint but sadly a lot of it has been negative. Poor buys, ridulous tactics, negative play and what will prove his downfall - a five year promise that we would have a team capable of winning the premiership.
He is a nice man but he will not take us to that higher level. It is time for a change, and I hope like you he ends his days at Liverpool with some dignity and resigns before he is pushed.
In real terms, however, we have not progressed much in these past five years and I know many supporters who think we have effectively gone backwards, now that the top three have raised the tempo.
We need brave decisions and big men to step forward to grab the problem by the throat. It is now time for change in a big way. I will always support the lads whoever is manager but some of the performances this year have been diabolical. Except for 35 minutes against Arsenal, when we were brilliant, the season has been painful to watch.
Anyway, here's to the future, Merry Christmas.

Yes i agree with you 100% oldredeyes, we have had some very poor performance's this season, i don't  know what has happened to us at the back, we are leaking goal's too often. I honestly can't wait until Henchoz and Carragher are back to full fitness to help tighten us up a bit, i also think Finnan was doing pretty good for us too, infact if and when all our defender's are fit i think it would be hard to pick the strongest back four and best goalkeeper, i would have to go with Dudek between the stick's as i think he's a better overall goalkeeper than Kirkland, i think it's important to have two quality goalkeeper's and a good third choice too, have any of you guy's seen Luzi play?

In my opinion our midfield is solid but like the defence it could do with selling some of the not so good player's and the same with our forward's, here's who i think need's the kick:

Xavier
Vignal
Biscan
Traore
Babbel
Diao
Midjani
Smicer
Cheyrou
Heskey

I know some are on loan and possibly already getting sold but it's just a list off the top of my head. When you look at that list it is quite bad considering theres only one more player needed to make a team, But as i said before i think it would be hard to pick out our strongest side with a fully fit squad.

Welcome Kop-1892, this forum is indeed interesting. I have been a life-long liverpool fan but in here, U'd find people who are more of a hardcore fan than U'd think and bets of all, they have interesting views and comments.
It seems that most members of this forum is in agreement that although he is a nice person, Houllier has reached the end of the road at Liverpool. We have regressed due to a combination of mediocre players being bought and being played regularly, rigid and very defensive tactics and dare I say that finally, in the past 2 seasons, even the players seem to have lost their heart and passion.
That is why U can see that now we lack desire and play a very predictable game. It is so bad that even visiting teams noe fancy their chances at Anfield!
Get rid of him now or at the end of the season and get a real manager. I think that Martin O'Neill will be able to do a far better job than Houllier.
